On Friday night, Abbie Cornish celebrated the premiere of “The Girl” at the SVA Theater in New York City during the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival.

The 29-year-old actress hit the red carpet wearing a light lilac folded asymmetric dress, from the Spring 2011 collection by designer Roksanda Ilincic, that she livened up with a bold pair of purple satin pumps by Diane von Furstenberg with large polka dot prints. I’m glad to see that she opted for a pump rather than another ankle strap shoe — those didn’t go over so well for her the last time.

I think Abbie looked really nice — the dress was a bit bunchy in areas, but overall, she looked great.

She completed her look with Neil Lane jewelry and a Judith Leiber metallic “Donetta” minaudière.
