It’s “National Princess Week”, so it was fitting that Dakota Fanning wore a gown straight out of a fairytale last night for the 6th annual DKMS Linked Against Blood Cancer gala in New York City.

The “Now Is Good” actress sparkled in a ivory chiffon gown with a transparent boat neckline and Swarovski embroidery on the bodice. This beautiful design was picked straight out of the Elie Saab Fall 2011 haute couture runway collection.

Dakota is kind of known for never doing too much with her fine bright blonde hair, but just this once, I really wish she had really played with it. Thankfully, it wasn’t left totally bland as there was a clip to gather a bit on the side.

She finished off with two Cartier “Love” bracelets and a gold minaudière.
