Dakota Fanning in Lanvin | 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Vanity Fair Party

Dakota Fanning was a vision in hot pink tonight as she stepped out for the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Vanity Fair Party tonight in New York City, at the State Supreme Courthouse, wearing a cocktail dress by Lanvin.

The 18-year-old “Now Is Good” actress wore a very grown up black cocktail dress earlier this month, but this Pre-Fall 2012 v-neck mini — sans belt — was not only age-appropriate, it was vibrant, fun and very pretty on the young starlet.

Dakota doesn’t normally do much with her super straight blonde mane, but tonight she had a gold multiple strand headband woven in. I like the idea, but the setting of it over her forehead is a bit strange.

The color of the headband complimented her pointed toe, caramel leather Resort 2012 pumps with metallic trim. I like these pumps, but I would have preferred to have seen Dakota in a pair of sandals.

Dakota completed her look with a Spring 2012 gold metallic minaudière.
