“Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester was on hand this past Saturday for the opening of the Harry Winston jewelry store in Shanghai, China.

The 26-year-old actress stepped out on the red carpet wearing a black version of a pretty lace cocktail dress, with a full tulle embroidered skirt, from the Fall 2011 Bridal collection by Marchesa.

Leighton looked beautiful — and I think the silhouette and tea length of the dress suited her so well.

She completed her look by leaving her long brunette hair out in wavy tendrils and wore a pair of black satin “Ole Ole” platform sandals from Christian Louboutin.

Naturally, she added some sparkle with Harry Winston jewels, including a bracelet and cocktail cluster ring.
