Michelle Williams shimmered last night in a colorful patchwork Giambattista Valli dress as she attended the NYC Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her new movie “Take This ‘Waltz” held at the Borough of Manhattan Community College.

The 29-year-old actress selected the sleeveless drop-waist, pleated skirt design, from the Spring 2012 collection, with bursts of bright yellow amongst metallic patterns and rosy pink floral prints.

In typical Michelle style, she kept her accessories practically non-existent with very light diamond stud earrings.

I would have loved to have seen her rock the chain ankle-strap adorned sandals from the collection, but thankfully, her Christian Louboutin “Vichy Jane” suede ankle strap pumps were a good choice… even if they were a bit boring color-wise.

She completed her look with a shiny plum manicure.
