Taylor Swift in Maria Lucia Hohan | 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards

Taylor Swift just doesn’t attend an award show and leave empty handed these days, but this time around the “Eyes Open” singer was honored for more than her music.

During the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2012 last night, First Lady Michelle Obama presented Taylor with the “Big Help” award for her contributions to giving back to the community — especially during the hurricanes last year.

The 22-year-old stepped on stage to accept her silver blimp wearing a pretty ivory ballerina dress by Maria Lucia Hohan with a bustier bodice and white ribbon that crisscrossed over it. The ribbon continued to tie around her waist and shoulders.

The dress looked like it was bunching up over her waistline, but I can’t tell if that’s due to the belt being too tight on her or the fact that she was sitting and dancing in the audience all night before she got her award.

I like that she brightened the soft dress with a sharp metallic pair of platform t-strap sandals by Nicholas Kirkwood. Taylor also added some tiny pops of color with a coral glossy pout and periwinkle lacquered nails.
