Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta | 2012 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Zooey Deschanel usually opts for cute dresses with retro elements, but on Saturday when she attended the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, I think we caught a glimpse of another side to her.

The “New Girl” actress didn’t stray far from her style when she arrived in this Pre-Fall 2012 silver silk faille strapless gown by Oscar de la Renta, but she definitely left her “quirky” influence behind in favor of a radiant touch.

I really like sparkling polka dot embroidery and the strapless bodice being separated from the full skirt with a shimmering belt.

She completed her look with a raspberry pout and full, wavy hair that was nicely swept halfway up. I really like her detailing robin’s egg blue lacquered manicure.
