The 26-year-old newlywed arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing a backless Prada gold and silver degradé, metal paillettes scaled halter neck dress.
I love the sharp cut of the halter neckline and the form-fitting style that transitioned into a full a-line skirt. The neckline was very reminiscent of the dress Gwyneth Paltrow wore. Carey looked amazing and her look was only further enhanced with a intense matte make-up palette and a swept over pixie hairstyle.
I’m not quite sure if I love this look for this particular soirèe, as I could see her stealing some major spotlight at a movie premiere or award show in it. I will say that this was her dress and she worked the heck out of it!
She finished off her look with champagne satin pumps and a evening clutch — both also by Prada.
What did you think of Carey’s two-tone deco dress last night?
