Diane Kruger in Christian Dior Couture | 2012 Cannes Film Festival Closing Ceremony & “Therese Desqueyroux” Premiere

The always beautiful Diane Kruger could have stopped traffic tonight when she attended the premiere of “Therese Desqueyroux”, which doubled as the Closing Ceremony of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival.

As a jury member of the festival, Diane’s appearance was anticipated — as was the fact of her wearing haute couture. I couldn’t imagine her final Cannes moment being in anything other than a couture or custom-made look.

The 35-year-old actress selected a grey and white plaid, sleeveless ball gown from the Christian Dior Spring 2012 collection that featured scattered black lace embroidery over the bodice and full skirt.

I honestly pegged her for any one of the other gowns presented in the collection, but leave it up to Diane to pick the unexpected and look otherworldly in it.

Additional style points are thrown her way for wearing her blonde hair up in a elegant evening ponytail. See? They look amazing on the red carpet when done really well!

Diane finished off her look with a striking make-up pallette, diamond cuff stud earrings and white platform Dior sandals.
