Malin Akerman in Vintage Odicini Couture | 2012 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Malin Akerman took her red carpet look to awkward lengths when she attended the 2012 White House Correspondents’ dinner on Saturday night.

The 33-year-old actress arrived to the gala in Washington, D.C. wearing a Vintage Odicini Couture strapless ivory satin cocktail dress. The design featured a wide split v-neck and a front slit.

While, yes, the dress appears to be at an odd length as it only hits Malin at the ends of her ankles, I think you’d get an entirely different effect from it had she worn better shoes.

Those two-tone platform “Sepia” pumps from Jimmy Choo were just too heavy and all wrong for this dress. I’m baffled as to why she decided to wear these out of all the possible choices she could have went with.

Malin finished her look with smokey eyes, light jewels and a up ‘do with a straying tendril.
