I wouldn’t, in fact, I’d totally understand because home-girl shut it down at the 2012 ‘Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations’ Costume Institute Gala wearing a gorgeous…. wait, breathtaking? Stunning? Gorgeous? All of the above?
Nina looked [insert the best word to describe the best thing here] in a black and antique gold gown inspired by the Donna Karan devoré dress immortalized by Gwyneth Paltrow in the 1998 film “Great Expectations”.
Yes. She. Did.
The 23-year-old star of “The Vampire Diaries” made her MET Gala debut and did it so well! Her beautiful Donna Karan Atelier dress was modernized with silk chiffon and burnt out metal sequins and gold lined beads. The glittering color glowed against her bronzed skin and her super long train made for a glamorous entrance and exit.
She gave good back as the asymmetrical cut draped down behind her with a single layer sequin straps crisscrossing it.
Nina flawlessly finished with shimmering gold eyes, H.Stern starburst diamond earrings and a elegant chignon hairstyle.
She is also wearing dark gold “Fiery” platform sandals by Jimmy Choo.
I’ve expressed my thoughts, now let me know how you feel about it! Leave me a comment below!
Look at the glorious train on that Donna Karan Atelier creation!
