Sarah Gadon in Jason Wu | “Cosmopolis” Premiere – 2012 Cannes Film Festival

As expected, “Cosmopolis” actress Sarah Gadon graced the red carpet tonight at Palais des Festivals for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival premiere in a dress by Jason Wu.

I mentioned in my Cannes Wish List post that I had a hunch she would select a dress from the designer for the big night, but I’m especially glad she opted for a creation from Wu’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

Sarah’s dress seems to be custom made, or an off-runway piece, but the a-line strapless silhouette and striking black and midnight blue metallic print were used for separate dresses in the collection. I like the flecks of emerald green!

I love this rich color on Sarah; it’s brilliant in contrast to her milky complexion. Additionally, I was so happy to see her golden blonde tresses styled in such glamorous side-parted curls and her complimenting make-up, which included a rust-red glossy pout and smokey eyes done in a muted navy shade.

I haven’t seen many dresses that weren’t floor-length at the premieres in Cannes this past two weeks, which isn’t surprising, but I adore Sarah’s tea-length. It was perfect silhouette for her figure and for showing off her Christian Louboutin black patent “Pigalle” pumps that went well with the grosgrain belt at her waist.

Sarah, who completed her look with large diamond earrings, looked beautiful tonight.
