When I found out Shailene Woodley was going to the “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations” Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art last night, I wasn’t that excited.

It’s not really a surprise that I have an on and off relationship with my feelings towards her red carpet looks — but it might be a shock that it was so ‘on’ this time around.

The 20-year-old actress hit the red carpet at the MET wearing my favorite dress from the Fall 2012 collection by Christopher Kane that was modified into a gown especially for her as she was his guest of the evening.

I love this!

I was already obsessed with the bursting colorful embroidery on the gunmetal base and the leather elements at the neckline and waist, but seeing how amazing it looks in a floor-length design just makes me love it more.

Shailene could have totally gotten away with a cool half up hairstyle or even pin-straight tresses, but if it came down to covering up this design or pulling her super long hair up into a sleek ponytail — I’m happy with her decision.

She finished off her look with light make-up and practically non-existent jewels.

What did you think of the Christopher Kane dress that Shailene wore last night?
