Ferragamo Unveils Resort 2013 at the Louvre in the City of Light!

If you were lucky enough to be sitting at the Louvre Museum on Tuesday, June 12th in Paris, France — you will have witness fashion history in the making.

Salvatore Ferragamo ‘s Creative Director, Massimiliano Giornetti presented the Resort 2013 Ferragamo collection inside the halls of the prestigious location, marking the first time a brand has conducted a fashion show there.

Giornetti sent his models down a 120 meter runway under the Denon wing’s colonnade in front of more than 500 guests flown in from around the world as ‘the eternal summer girl’ was revealed within look after eclectic look.

“A free spirit, she is relaxed yet chic and wears a boyish jacket nonchalantly, like a sweater, on top of a linen jersey T-shirt with leather piping, and trousers with a floral Ferragamo print.”

A pale, neutral palette of Desert, Peach, Champagne, and New Bisque paired with Ash and Clay created a warm, relaxed California desert vibe, while crochet elements, suede shoes, fringed hems, leather jackets and structured pieces complete a chic, free spirited collection.
