SHAILENE WOODLEY looked amazing at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards in her tuxedo halterneck jumpsuit from Stella McCartney — and the front of the look was just as good as the back! The 20-year-old actress wore her super long tresses up in a breezy beach-chic fishtail braid that fell softly down the open back of her look.

Turns out, the fun style was the idea of both Shailene and her hairstylist Jamal Hammadi.

“This time around, Shai and I were on the same wavelength hair-wise. On the way over, I had a vision of a messy fishtail braid in my head, and what do you know when I walked in and without a word, Shailene suggested a pony! We are just on the same simple organic ship wave link.”
