Hailee Steinfeld in Prabal Gurung | Young Hollywood Awards 2012

Hailee Steinfeld made a very cool appearance on the red carpet last night when she arrived for the 14th Annual Young Hollywood Awards in a badass outfit by Prabal Gurung.

While many opted for the standard pretty cocktail dress, the 15-year-old “Romeo and Juliet” actress rocked a sleeveless shimmering white top, with a golden burst of floral embroidery, and matching flared trousers from Gurung’s Fall 2012 collection.

It was young, hip, fresh and totally loved by me — and many others, I’m sure.

I wish more ladies took risks like this on the red carpet. This look was not meant to stay on the catwalk!

I’m glad Hailee passed on the gold belt, because I like the sleek fit. But, I wish her pants had just been an inch higher to show off a glimpse of her Brian Atwood heels.

She accessorized like a style champ with gold House of Lavande vintage jewelry, a multichrome gold nail lacquer and a Edie Parker “Lara” tiger pearlescent clutch with black ice ends clutch. I love LOVE love this bag!

Hailee completed her look with gorgeous cascading curls and a golden tone makeup palette.
