Katy Perry in Vintage Nolan Miller | City of Hope’s Music & Entertainment Industry Group Honors Bob Pittman
Just ask Katy Perry.
The 27-year-old “Wide Awake” singer stepped out on the red carpet at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA last night at the City of Hope’s Music And Entertainment Industry Group honored Bob Pittman, the co-creator of MTV.
Katy took a trip to the 1920s with her flapper-inspired ensemble.
She wore a luminous vintage Nolan Miller dark peach satin asymmetric slip dress with gorgeous embroidery along the bust. Perhaps wearing this dress was a tribute from Katy to the late American designer, who passed away earlier this month.
Miller was famously known as the costume designer for the television series “Dynasty”.
Katy layered on the pearls, but wore some sparkle in her retro pin-curl ‘do with an embroidered hair wrap headband.
I loved her mega lashes and matte lip — and her nails have yin-yang designs on them!
Further accessories included white satin Manolo Blahnik “Swan” pumps, which were co-designed by Carolina Herrera and feature a crystal-beaded vine appliqué.
These heels were made famous when Kristen Stewart wore them in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″.
If Katy was going for 1920s vamp, she totally succeeded.
