Cover Girl: Kristen Stewart Is California Cool for ELLE France!

At this point, it may seem like KRISTEN STEWART is commanding any issue of ELLE Magazine that she can. With ultra-stylish British ELLE and ELLE US covers under her belt for June, the “Snow White and the Huntsman” star was able to kick back in this relaxed outdoor editorial for the May issue of ELLE France (on newsstands now)!

Stylist Isabel Dupré let Kristen take a break from heels (kind of) and complicated gowns for the afternoon, as photographer Matt Jones lens the 22-year-old frolicking on the Californian mountains of Topanga Canyon, overlooking the beaches of Malibu.

Kristen’s go-to makeup professional Jillian Dempsey gave her a refreshed look while hairstylist Cervando kept her tresses shiny and full, but didn’t let the style stray too far from what Kristen’s finds most comfortable — tousled, wavy and perfectly imperfect.

In the article, Kristen talked about growing up on a film set, her “Twilight” experience, and finding her balance between fame and normalcy while living in Hollywood. She also delved into her latest projects, including “On The Road” — the Walter Salles-directed film based off of Jack Kerouac’s semi-autobiographical novel, which just premiered during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival — and her fashion adventures! You may or may not have heard by now that K.Stew tapped a deal with designer Nicolas Ghesquière to star in the latest fragrance campaign for Balenciaga.

Kristen seems really in her element for this photoshoot! I’m loving the ‘California cool’ summer approach along with the bohemian elements in her wardrobe and the eclectic layered jewelry.

For a girl who typically wears the same few pieces of jewelry; “tokens” as she refers to them, they really went all out on the necklaces and bracelets for this shoot.

Let’s do a style break down, shall we?

For the cover, Kristen wears the “Cider Freed” embroidered tank from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection by Theyskens’ Theory.

As for her jewelry, Kristen layered on the “Golden Light Rudraksha Mala” and the gold/turquoise “Gold Bless Your Heart” necklaces from Satya Jewelry.

She’s also wearing a yellow gold “Little Letter K” pendant necklace from Dalla Nonna and a Me&Ro “Thirteen Lotus Cord” necklace.

Kristen kicks back on a canopy covered bed in a printed tank and ruffle tiered skirt from Zadig & Voltaire. She’s also wearing a suede belt from Ralph Lauren and red suede western ankle boots from the Fall 2012 collection by Isabel Marant.

On her left wrist, Kristen is wearing a two leather bracelets from Me & Ro Jewelry, pictured below.

K.Stew plays with her pup while rocking an Enza Costa tank top, MARC by Marc Jacobs shorts, and a beautiful embroidered vest from the Fall 2012 collection by Anna Sui. Her boots are the studded “Rogan” engineer by FRYE.

She wears the same jewelry throughout the shoot, and one of my favorite pieces is this Pamela Love “Southwestern” gold cuff.

Wrapped in a red flannel blanket, K.Stew still gives a fab view of her beige “Kickback” racer tank from Enza Costa and her light wash denim “Alabama Slamma” shorts from MARC by Marc Jacobs.

This is the same outfit she’s wearing the photo with her dog, so you can still see a bit of that Anna Sui vest.

Kristen changed her outfit, but not her jewelry! Here she wears a sheer asymmetric film racerback tank from Helmut Lang, over a bright blue Spring 2012 “Mega Rose” bandeau top by Peter Som. Her shorts are “The Girlfriend” by Current/Elliott and instead of wearing a belt, Kristen rocked a printed silk scarf from Hermés.

Her necklace, which you can also see in the previous colorful photo, is a “Turquoise Tusk Necklace” from Heather Gardner.

What a fabulous close-up of Kristen’s bangles! She’s wearing a stack from Jennifer Fisher, including the “XS Skinny Bone”, “Side ID”, “Plain” and “Skinny Snake” cuffs. Kristen still has on her Pamela Love “Southwestern” cuff as well.
