Selena Gomez in Versace | Fragrance Launch at Macy’s Herald Square

The beautiful 19-year-old showed off her endless legs in a pair of high-waisted shorts and a bandeau crop top from the Spring 2012 collection by Versace, which featured tropical lavender and aqua prints of starfish and seashells.
Selena layered on a embroidered ivory Vanessa Bruno open jacket and completed the look with Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.
I liked the top and shorts on Selena, but when she added in the heels, jacket and oversize hoop earrings — it took it to a different level, and not such a great one.
First of all, I don’t think she needed to wear heels, especially nude. A pretty metallic flat sandal would’ve been better suited.
Besides, this was a photocall and not the red carpet.
Additionally a jacket in one of the pastel colors from the print would have been ideal. I think the one she wore is a bit too professional for the laid-back summer style — and the shades of white don’t match.
With that said, I love her hair at this mid-length! Selena has thick hair and a petite face, so this layered cut was much more complimentary rather than the long extensions she sometimes wears.
