Solange Knowles was a ray of sunshine on the red carpet last night when she rocked this bright yellow embellished dress at the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City.

The 25-year-old arrived at Alice Tully Hall with J.Crew President & Executive Creative Director Jenna Lyons, wearing a yellow and white cocktail dress from the Spring 2012 collection by Marni.

I’m glad Solange wore a modified version as I prefer the open v-neck of hers over the connected collar on the runway.

Still sporting her voluminous ‘do, Solange finished off her look with Marni accessories and gold jewelry. She carried a printed oversize sack clutch and wore lucite and yellow deco sandals.
