Anne Hathaway in Stella McCartney | “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”

On Friday night, Anne Hathaway appeared on NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” to promote her new movie “The Dark Knight Rises” wearing a black and white gingham dress by Stella McCartney.

With the exception of her floral burst of energy last week, it’s been a pretty monochromatic tour for the 29-year-old actress. Mostly every dress has been black, but then who could forget that gorgeous white gown at the NYC premiere on Monday?

Anyway — back to the dress in question. This particular McCartney design, and the second dress she’s worn by the designer on this press tour, featured cutouts over the bust with a smaller gingham pattern and a nude illusion open back.

I think the top part of the dress is very cool, but once again, Anne fails to make me love this on her.

Is it her hair? Maybe. The solid black pumps? Most likely.
