Cate Blanchett attended another photocall for her play “Uncle Vanya” over the weekend in New York City.

For the press event on Sunday, Cate arrived at the New York City Center wearing a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci dress. This black three-quarter sleeve design is from the Resort 2013 collection and features a contrasting geometric colorblock effect at the chest, which is attached to a paisley asymmetric flap.

I prefer the sandals on the model with this dress, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love Cate’s black velvet cutout ankle boots by Roger Vivier, from the Fall 2012 collection. Check out a gorgeous side view of them below.

She finished off her look with a swept back hairstyle and light makeup.

   “Uncle Vanya” is not her latest movie, but rather a play she is starring in and producing that will have a limited run at Lincoln Center in NYC, it is highly anticipated and has already sold out!
