The always classy and beautiful Duchess of Cambridge looked lovely when she attended the reception at Buckingham Palace on Friday night for the Heads of State and Goverment attending the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony in London, England.

Kate wore an icy blue satin long-sleeve coat dress that was custom made for her by designer Christopher Kane.

The color was soft and stunning, and the pale shade really popped against Kate’s summer tan.

She accessorized well with diamond and light blue circle earrings, before finishing off with neutral nails, a tan suede minaudière with silver trim and a shiny full mane that featured pretty ringlets just at the bottom.

Kate wore the same dress to the opening ceremony shortly after, which she attended with her husband Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and her brother-in-law Prince Harry.

What did you think of Kate’s powder blue dress?
