Lucy Liu in J. Mendel | CW, CBS & Showtime 2012 Summer TCA Party

Lucy Liu was one of my favorite ladies on the red carpet tonight at the annual CW, CBS and Show party, which is held during the Summer TCA press tour every year.

The “Elementary” star totally rocked this black a-line silk dress from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection by J. Mendel with dangerously sexy cutouts at the plunging v-neck bodice. Nina Dobrev wore a gown version on Oscar night earlier this year.

Lucy opted out of the black leather belt that was paired with the dress on the catwalk and stuck by a much more subtle waist-cinching element. I prefer the way she wore it as the leather might have been too much.

She accessorized with black “6204″ pointed toe wedges by Casadei and added a pop of color thanks to a dark red python “East/West” clutch by Judith Leiber. Lucy’s ensemble was complete with a sleek black ponytail, a glossy pout, small diamond earrings and an oversized rose gold watch.
