Maria Sharapova turned heads faster than a flying tennis ball when she stepped out onto the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live this evening for the 2012 ESPY Awards in Hollywood.

The 25-year-old tennis player, and winner of the 2012 French Open, looked beautiful in a heron blue silk-chiffon, sleeveless hand pleated J. Mendel gown. This dress comes from the Resort 2013 collection by designer Gilles Mendel.

What an impeccable fit! The cutouts at the bust and sides appeared flawless due to Maria’s lean-yet-toned athletic figure. Her statuesque frame and sun-kissed tan were added bonus points.

Maria finished off her look with a stud earrings and a silver studded cuff bracelet by Lara Bohinc, an effortless swept up hairstyle (courtesy of hairstylist Adir Abergel) and Jimmy Choo metallic sandals that stood out due to the high slit in her skirt.
