Michelle Obama in J. Mendel | 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony Reception at Buckingham Palace
Photos: Zimbio; Style.comOur fabulous FLOTUS was divine in a look from the latest Resort collection by J. Mendel; a white viscose techno crepe tailored jacket with overlapped side panels and silver embroidery, which was paired with a ivory silk satin faced chiffon pleated skirt.
The pattern and cut of the top is visually stunning and I love that she partnered it with the skirt, though I still love the trousers pairing from the lookbook.
With subtle makeup, minimal jewelry and a beautifully sculptured coif, Mrs. O finished off her look by pulling fro the metallic embroidery on her top. She wore metallic gold pointed toe pumps.
Unlike Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge — Michelle ended up changing her clothes for the opening ceremony.
Did you like Mrs. O’s embroidered top and full pleated skirt for the reception?
