Nikki Reed in Etro | “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2″ VIP Comic-Con Celebration

Nikki Reed glittered her way down the red rug last night as she celebrated “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ with her costars at a party thrown by Fandango at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, California.

The Twi-star-studded fête was held during Comic-Con International 2012, and considering fans of the vampy series have been coming to the convention every year since 2008 to see the cast promote the films — this seemed like a proper tribute.

Donned in a shimmering gold mesh and black-and-white aztec beaded cocktail dress from Etro ‘s Spring 2011 collection, the 23-year-old looked ready to party the night away with hubby Paul McDonald.

I love the dress, but I think it definitely needed to be brought up a few inches.

The shorter version on the model has a flared shape that gets lost on Nikki because it’s so much longer. While the frock looks great simply as a dress, I feel that a short cut paired with a chic pair of slim-fit black trousers would have looked cool and also refreshing from what you typically see on the red carpet.

A black-and-gold Lena Erziak stingray “Emile” minaudière, delicate small earrings, wavy ombré tresses, an assortment of rings — including a Melinda Maria Python Pave ring — and a pair of open toe black Alexandre Birman suede pumps were the finishing touches for this party look.
