Zooey Deschanel in Lisa Ho | “So You Think You Can Dance” 200th Episode Celebration

Zooey Deschanel was a guest celebrity judge on FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance”, and selected a lovely dress by Lisa Hofor the hit reality dance competition’s 200th Episode celebration.

The “New Girl” actress wore a plum satin organza ruffle sleeve cocktail dress with black tights and matching suede pumps.

At this point, we shouldn’t even be surprised to see Zooey in black tights and shoes, because she wears that same look more often than not. I’m not sure why though. Once in awhile? Sure. But — it’s summer!

I think the dress is very pretty, and while it’s dark and appropriate for fall, I think with the right accessories Zooey could have brightened it up. But… she didn’t.

Sadly, her long hair distracted from the embellishing of the shoulders. A ponytail was a must!

She finished off her look with bright cherry lips and a fun yellow and white striped manicure, which featured crystal bow appliqués on the accent nail along with an extra “fuzzy” nail. Textured manicures are becoming quite the trend.
