Kristen Bell’s Funky French Braid at the 2012 Do Something Awards!

This was probably the first time KRISTEN BELL has ever been asked so many times to spin around on the red carpet, or in this case – blue, for photographers to get a shot of the back of her head. But, can you blame them? The “Hit & Run” actress, rocking a colorful Jenni Kayne chevron dress, was sporting some seriously crazy awesome braids at the 2012 Do Something Awards.

In a sea popular Hollywood looks, from the “waterfall waves” to the messy chignon, Kristen stood out amongst them all with her intricate ‘do of woven mini braids, which showed off her dimensional hair color of various shades of blonde.

Kristen’s hairstylist ANGE GRMOLYES created this look for her using just a little bit product [see below] and a lot of creativity!

Ange shared her tips with The Fashion Court for you to try this at home! Keep in mind that you might need a little assistance from someone else to make sure you’ve got everything going on in somewhat of a clean order back there.

Let’s begin!

Start by creating a deep side part in the hair. Then take a section out to start the French / biggest braid. While doing this braid, make sure to braid toward the middle / back of your head. Where you would put your ponytail!

You can take two, three, four small braids on the sides and then secure the small braids in the back of the largest braid.

Have fun with this one! You really can create your own version and not mess it up!
