Nikki Reed in Lela Rose | 2012 Do Something Awards

Nikki Reed joined her “Twilight” costar Ashley Greene at the annual Do Something Awards, honoring those making a positive difference in their communities and presented by VH1.

The 24-year-old hit the blue carpet at Barkey Hanger in Santa Monica wearing a textured taupe gown from the Resort 2013 collection by Lela Rose. The sleeveless silhouette featured pin-tucking at the neckline and a knee-high slit at the side of the skirt.

Nikki added a silver metallic belt to the tucked waist with slight gathering.

I liked the simple elegance of this gown and the added metallic details were a nice way to brightened it up without using color.

Speaking of her accessories, Nikki piled on the rings — but, kept her earrings small. She wore a gorgeous pair of glittered platform “Sierra” sandals by Jimmy Choo and carried a matching crystal-embellished silver minaudière. These are the same sandals that I was totally gushing over when she wore last fall during the “Breaking Dawn: Part 1″ international press tour. I’m totally obsessed with these heels — and apparently Nikki is too.

She finished off her look by keeping her make-up subtle with pretty warm neutral tones, and her hair was loosely gathered into a chignon with straying face framing pieces. Nikki pulled this off effortlessly and looked beautiful doing so.

The 2012 Do Something Awards airs this Tuesday, August 21st at 9pm EST on VH1.
