Party Style: GenArt Honors Alumni Vena Cava

On Wednesday night GenArt honored alumni, fashion label Vena Cava with a special poolside summer party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California where some of Hollywood’s hottest stars dressed in their VC best.

Phoebe Tonkin, formerly of the CW’s “The Secret Circle” and can next be seen on the upcoming season of “The Vampire Diaries”, looked fabulous in a black asymmetric button-down blouse that she paired with a white mini skirt that was splashed in psychedelic watercolor prints of blue and purple.

The always beautiful Sophia Bush stayed comfortable in a printed button-down, short sleeve dress that she partnered with a gorgeous statement necklace and a pair of mustard yellow suede platform lace-up ankle boots. The “Partners” star styled her hair in center parted sculpted waves.

Malin Akerman rocked a trendy “top knot” while donned in a black short sleeve cropped tee that she partnered with high waist satin printed wide leg trousers. Malin finished off her look with gold metallic sandals and a matching flap over evening clutch.

Brightening up the night, Teresa Palmer arrived in a hot pink square neck cocktail dress with contouring seams at the bust and hips of the pencil cut skirt. With a naturally wavy mane, Tez completed her look with a black handbag and a hot pair of silver trimmed black open toe, ankle strap sandals.

Busy Phillips kept it cool in a black jumpsuit from VC’s Spring collection, which featured cutouts at the shoulders and a plunging v-cut one at the bust. Short sleeves connected to a crewneck collar as the silhouette of the one-piece flared out into draping at the hips. Busy wore most of her blonde hair up before finishing off the comfy ensemble with a gold metallic belt and a pair of turquoise platform sandals that added a nice pop of color.

During the party Busy hung out with her friend, musician Jenny Lewis. Jenny wore her auburn red tresses out in tumbling curls while dressed in a simple black maxi dress and matching open toe platform sandals.

“Twilight” star Julia Jones showed a bit of her black bra through the eyelet openings of her white button-down shirt that she tucked into a black mini skirt. She played it cool with dark grey suede platform ankle boots and finished off her look with pin-straight locks and a silver metallic evening clutch.

Bella Heathcote looked adorable in a cutout black top from the Resort 2013 collection that featured a pointed collar, but a massive cutout above the bust. While I prefer this top paired with the asymmetric long pattern skirt from the collection, Bella selected a dark grey denim skirt with front bow-adorned pockets. She finished off her look with a tightly swept hairstyle and a pair of black leather booties.
