Anne Hathaway was sensational on the red carpet tonight for the New York City Ballet Fall Gala, held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.

The 29-year-old “Les Misérables” actress looked beautiful in her garden goddess Valentino gown from the Fall/Winter 2012 Haute Couture collection. The sheer illusion dress featured long, billowy sleeves and a high neck, which was edged with the shimmering lace that’s used throughout the pattern on the flowing frock.

I love the muted navy, olive and mauve tones in the floral design and feel like Anne really gave this dress new life.  In fact, I like it on her much more than I did on the runway.

With her make-up kept soft and subtle, Anne’s growing pixie haircut was styled a bit swept with a little bit of texture at the bangs. Her hair looks great at this length — I hope she maintains it as such for a while.

She finished off her look with a gold metallic-and-glitter “Boite de Nuit” minaudière by Roger Vivier.
