Next week the press tour for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ will officially kick off with fan events, press junkets and premieres all over the globe. A lot of press means a lot of appearances to appreciate some fashion. As the vampire and wolf-man leads, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will be doing some serious traveling to support the final installment of the beloved series — and I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some cool suits.

I selected the following looks for Robert and Taylor based on many reasons. Some of the designs I straight up want them to wear, but for others, I simply like the color, cut or general unique style. Hopefully they’ll end up wearing something close to…any of it.

Enjoy my picks and don’t forget to check back with The Fashion Court over the next several weeks as I cover and review what they end up wearing. If you’re not already following me on Twitter, make sure you get on that as I’ll usually ID the clothes before the post goes live here – @courtjustice and @TheFashionCourt! FYI: I’m chatty.

Here we go!

Breaking Dawn Wish List: Robert Pattinson

When Robert was promoting his movie “Cosmopolis” in New York at the end of the summer, it felt like he had become addicted to a particular color combination. Whether it was his tie, shirt, his shoes — or his entire suit, Rob had a burst of blue partnered with classic black. Despite the press tour being completed for that film, his affection for the color duo has not waned. Rob wore blue pants and a black jacket to the MTV Movie Awards and was spotted rocking electric trousers again while chillin’ in New York City recently.

Should Mr. Pattinson keep this up, I have a few ideas for him!

PORTS 1961: This two-button navy suit seen in Ports 1961′s Spring collection would be perfect for Rob. I’ve been wanting to see him ease into unique looks on the red carpet for quite sometime now, but certain patterns can be too heavy and bold and that could scare many men off no matter how risk-taking they are. With this suit; just a smattering of a lighter blue grid pattern along one side of the blazer was enough to take it to another level.

GUCCI: Let’s face it, all my picks are just a pipe dream because we all know 90% of Rob’s wardrobe on this press tour will more than likely come from Gucci. I mean, he basically admitted that Frida Giannini, Creative Director of the Italian fashion house, has more than two handfuls of suits for him on stand-by. I didn’t see any particular suits from the Fall or Spring collection that stuck out to me for him; mainly because the latter was filled with bright colors that I don’t think Rob will wear in November. Perhaps he could do what I’ve been waiting for and rock a regal aubergine or moss green custom “Heritage” suit.

Please? Pretty please? Help a girl out Frida!

GIVENCHY: I’m trying to think of the last time I saw Rob do a straight up head-to-toe monochrome look, but I don’t think I have. If he did, please refresh my memory. If not, I want to see him do it. Givenchy had two suits in the Fall 2012 collection that I wanted Rob to wear; one was lipstick red and the other full-on black (pictured above). Since he’s already ‘saw red’ for the “Eclipse” premiere in 2010, I selected the latter. I’m talking all-black-everything. Werq.

ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA: Robert simply shines on the red carpet, and while I’m pretty sure that mostly has to do with his bright smile and great personality, he could try to merely do it with his clothes too. He’s worn shiny fabric before, so it would be another bold move for him to rock this blue two-button Zegna suit with a gleaming finish. I definitely wouldn’t peg him to wear the printed shirt and loafers too, but…baby steps. We’ll save that for editorial.

SIMON SPURR: Should he not be ready to take on something that vibrant right now, Simon Spurr delivered a moderately bright violet suit in his Fall 2012 collection. I’ve never seen Rob wear a Spurr suit before, and with Simon stepping down as Creative Director for his namesake label, I’m not sure he will. Whatever, the color is still perfect.

Go on, picture it. You could so see him in this shade — and you already love it.

If Robert breaks out from his black-and-blue hold…

ALEXANDER McQUEEN: Yeah, it’s back. I originally picked this McQueen suit for Robert to wear at the VMAs last month — and my feelings on it still stand. I’m just not over it.

BERLUTI: A few people told me they never pegged Robert for ‘a Berluti guy’ before my Cannes Wish List, but now they love the idea of it. With the Spring 2013 collection, the fashion label featured one of my favorite things – more than two times. Green suits you guys. Green suits galore! I love the rich dark shade of this tuxedo and I bet Robert’s goldie locks would be its perfect mate. Bow tie or no bow tie — he’d rock it.

BALENCIAGA: I wonder if Rob will score a Balenciaga suit for the tour. I like the way he rocks a casual Nicolas Ghesquière tee, so if it should happen, I’m feeling the dark color of this Fall 2012 suit. It’s not quite black as it has this brown yet purple hint to it. While I wouldn’t suggest the white shoes, I’d keep the midnight blue shirt.

BURBERRY PRORSUM: It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Robert wear Burberry, so I’m declaring that the wait should be over. He’d look great in a two-tone look from the Spring 2013 collection, no?

PAUL SMITH: You didn’t think I’d really settle for one green suit in this wish list, did you? While the first pick was a great choice for a premiere, this wool-blend single button suit would work for both the red carpet and a photocall during a international press junket. Robert could get creative with his shirt and tie — or he keep it classic as both would work.

Breaking Dawn Wish List: Taylor Lautner

For the first three press tours to support the “Twilight” movies, I had very mixed feelings on everything Taylor Lautner wore. His casual press style was cool as I can dig a good leather jacket, but the suits were a different story. Everything was so serious and I just wanted him to loosen up on the red carpet. On the “Breaking Dawn: Part 1″ tour last year, Taylor showed me a new side. I’m still completely in love with his McQueen suit and his relaxed approach in Berlin when he went sans tie.

I’m pretty sure he’ll do more of the same this time around, but there’s always room for a surprise!

DOLCE & GABBANA: This Fall 2012 three-piece suit is very classic in many ways, but it’s the subtle hints of ‘cool’ in the large patch pockets, arched lapels and super skinny tie that I think would look cool on Taylor.

If he wore a colorful tie, it would be even better.

ALEXANDER McQUEEN: Now that I know Taylor is a McQueen fan, I wonder if he would be interested in rocking this ombré grey plaid suit from the Fall 2012 collection. Can you imagine it? It’s wild, but Tay would totally move up on my radar with this bad boy!

VALENTINO: I’m not in love with a lighter color for Taylor as much as I am with the general style of this two-tone Valentino suit. It would be nice to see him incorporate some more contrast into his look. It’s usually either grey or black with him and I need some more in-between. Recently his stylist put him in a great contrast lapel suit for the MTV Movie Awards; I think it was one of his best looks to date. More of this, please.

BURBERRY PRORSUM: As I mentioned earlier, I like a pop of color with a tie — it can do wonders. I love the way a silk chocolate tie brightened up this Burberry charcoal suit though it was another dark color. Taylor should try it as he has a beautiful bronze complexion and a lot of colors would compliment his tone.

There you have it! What do you want to see Robert and Taylor wear?

I’m sure Rob will be wearing Gucci for the big premieres, I’d love to see him in McQueen – it’s young and he can certainly carry off that super cool vibe. I’d love to see him in Balenciaga as well, to match his ladylove!

As for Taylor – again McQueen and Valentino would great. He’s a young guy and this is the final movie – I say go out with a bang and make a statement! Plus those suits would look great with his coloring.

Thanks for the detailed feedback! That McQueen is risky, most definitely, but I think Rob would surprise many people by pulling it off. I have fashionable faith in him. ;-)

I really want Taylor to step it up too!
