Kristen looked so glamorous in her full length gold sequin embroidered gown with a high slit.
Mr. Saab’s designs were heavily featured in my wish list for the tour, so when I saw Kristen step out of her car on the livestream, my eyes immediately perked up to a gown that looked eerily similar to what Bèrènice Marlohe recently donned at a “Skyfall” premiere. As it turns out—Kristen is in a cap-sleeve, off-runway version of that Fall/Winter 2012 Ready-to-Wear gown.
Oh, what a gorgeous dress this is! I love the dimension amongst the sequins, and the dark metallic tone complimented her complexion and rich auburn hair color. Speaking of her hair—this ponytail is up there with my favorite looks from her lately. How cool is that intense volume of waves in the back?! I’m so glad she wore it up.
For one, I wish Kristen had worn the belt featured on the model as I like how it defines the waist. Additionally, I wasn’t a fan of the shoe choice. Kristen wore a kick-ass pair of black platform “Manon” open toe ankle boots by Christian Louboutin with multiple buckle straps going down the front. They’re #ShoeEnvy worthy, but a dark gold (or bronze) pair of sandals or stiletto pumps—with an ankle strap or without—would have been a polished finish.
With that said, I didn’t mind them too much when she arrived. It was freezing and Kristen had on her black quilted Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière jacket. The boots and biker jacket balanced off each other in that respect—in a way that’s so Kristen.
Smoky eyes and her favorite Cartier “Juste Un Clou” nailhead bracelet provided the finishing touches.
It’s been a fun ride to follow all of Miss Stewart’s looks since her first “Twilight” appearance, and even more closely since opening The Fashion Court. It’s fitting how she finished out much like her vampire alter-go — strong and sparkling.
VERDICT: Did Kristen have the Midas touch in her solid gold dress and tough girl boots?
