Kristen Stewart in Reem Acra Couture | 2013 Oscars

WHO: Kristen Stewart
WHERE & WHEN: 85th Academy Awards on February 24, 2013.
WEARING: Reem Acra dress, Jimmy Choo & Bloch shoes, and Fred Leighton jewelry.

MY VERDICT: Kristen was one of the last Oscar arrivals, and she did so by stepping out on crutches!  The “On The Road” star was nursing an unexplained injury, but toughened it up to go sans assistance as she posed for photos in her glittering Reem Acra Spring 2009 Bridal Couture dress; a pale blush strapless bustier gown with exquisite hand beaded embroidery throughout, pleated tulle inserts, and a low-dipping open back.  It was the most ethereal look I’ve seen on her; that being said, I’m either a stickler for wanting to see the actress in rich color—or I’m just a hard one to win over with pale dresses.

Imagine this in burgundy with a better fitting bust.

The 22-year-old accessorized with dazzling jewelry, something we hardly ever see her do, by choosing a rose gold 19th century diamond riviere necklace and rose gold navette shaped ring from Fred Leighton.  Beneath her dress, Kristen wore one ivory satin Jimmy Choo “Vibe” open toe platform pump and a silver “Fonteyn” ballet flat from Bloch, available here.

Voluminous swept waves, smoky eyes, and a light peach manicure–”Emprise” by Chanel–completed her look.

I’m glad you pointed out that the dress was ill fitting. It didn’t do anything to give her the illusion of a figure, either. Either her stylist should be fired or she should stop choosing the dresses herself. She needs someone who knows how to work with her pear shape to make her into more of an hour glass.

And she desperately needs color. If she wasn’t going to make a better impression than this, she should have just stayed home. Her presence did little to contribute to the evening, and it didn’t help that she looked like she’d rather be anywhere else. The abundance of other actors smiling and having a good time just emphasized her discontent.

Marvelous, even with the crutches. The whole outfit is faboulous, from the dress to the heels even the flats. And the hair and make-up is just perfect.
    She shined at the Oscars.

I absolutaly adore her but, I agree with you! Something was missing…

  4. Ro says:

She’s such a trooper for working the dress injured and with crutches, especially since I’m sure others would skip it given that it’s such a big event. It kills me that I didn’t totally *love* her look. Detailing on the dress was beautiful and I love the train with the tulle accents but I didn’t like the fit of the bodice – it was too loose. While she had her hair swept to one side, I would have loved to see a jewel piece in her hair as opposed to the necklace. Her make up was flawless but when you have a face like hers, you really don’t need much to add it it.

i love her! simple and elegant.too bad she is injured. for me one of the best dressed together with charlize. charlize killed it! i dont understand how people think her hair is horrible and the media and miss kelly osbourne comment were so unnecessary. i hope she got injured and try to walk a RC without crutches.. lets see if she can pull it off. :) nah just kidding.
