WHO: Miley Cyrus
WHERE & WHEN: 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala – PUNK: Chaos to Couture on May 6, 2013.
WEARING: Marc Jacobs dress, Prada shoes & Eddie Borgo jewelry.

MY VERDICT: There were many stars that completely missed the mark of the MET Gala this year. The theme was PUNK: Chaos to Couture, and yet so many looked like they were going to the Oscars instead of celebrating a punk exhibition. That being said, Miley was definitely not one of them. The 20-year-old hit the red carpet in Marc Jacobs; a nude column dress with a long sleeve black fishnet overlay from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection. She had already nailed the concept with the dress, but took it a step further with a totally spiked out ‘do, black diamond Eddie Borgo armor rings, red lips and gold glittered nails.

I think Miley looked great, and was one of the very few people who actually went full in with the punk attitude without trying too hard.

To be honest, I don’t even think she needed to go so strong with the hair. Finally that razor pixie cut really worked to her advantage, and she could have turned into a mohawk or simply slicked back. Miley’s shoes were silver mirrored platform Prada sandals.

Even if I am not a big fan of the dress she looked beautiful in it and the make up, in my opinion, just knocks it out of the park. My one issue with this look is her hair, I think she took it too far. It was a bit expected, because of the theme.
