For a someone who took a long flight straight from the New Orleans set of her latest movie to the red carpet in France for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Clouds of Sils Maria”, Kristen Stewart was the epitome of refreshed beauty — from her rosy cheeks to her glamorous glossy tresses — as she posed for the cameras in a sparkling lace embroidered Chanel Haute-Couture jumpsuit.
Want the tips on recreating this ultra-glam look for yourself? Kristen’s beauty team shared all of the secrets with The Fashion Court — and I’m sharing them with you!
Celebrity makeup artist Christophe Danchaud created a balance of a strong eyebrow and sultry eyes with a natural pout. “I love to work with Kristen; she is so beautiful and amazing. I used all Chanel products on her,” he dished.
FACE: To begin with a nice moisturized base, Christophe used a French cream called La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra, and mixed it with the very pale CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 foundation in 30 Beige.
For the cheeks, he gave her a natural flush with a rosy glow. Christophe applied CHANEL Powder Blush in Rose Initial with a dusting of the golden Chanel Le Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour in #30 on top.
EYES: Christopher mixed the warm tones of black, brown and grey from the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Mademoiselle to give Kristen a strong smoky eye. Use the dark purple from the Tissé Gabrielle to line the top and bottom lash lines for a shimmery touch. He then applied two coats of Chanel INIMITABLE INTENSE Mascara Multi-Dimensionnel Sophistiqué in Noir.
He gave Kristen pronounced brows by filling them in with the Chanel Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Cendre.
LIPS: Kristen’s natural tone was enhanced with the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Colour Lipshine in Satisfaction.
After creating funky mini cornrow braids at Sundance earlier this year, celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath teamed up with Kristen once again for another fabulous look of a different variety. Kylee boosted the shine of Kristen’s current vibrant orange-red hair color, and parted the long tresses down the side and into a cascading wave that was reminiscent of screen siren Veronica Lake.
“We thought a smooth brushed out wave would be great in contrast with her very cool and chic sequined look,” she explained the inspiration behind the style.
How She Did It:
“I prepped the damp hair by spraying Leonor Greyl Condition Naturelle Heat Protecting Styling Spray from roots through ends. I then applied Kevin Murphy Body Builder Volumising Mousse—from roots to mid-shaft,” Kylee explained.
“I then combed the product through, created a straight deep side part and blew the hair dry by using an Ibiza round brush to create shine and volume. I then set the hair by curling inch wide sections with an iron 1 1/4 inch in diameter and then pinned in place. I styled the top section last. I sprayed the roots with Leonor Greyl Voluforme Spray, then gave them a light tease, curled them and pinned the bangs/front section in place to fall to the left with volume.
Special thanks to Christophe Danchaud and Kylee Heath!
