Lily Collins stunned onlookers at this year’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party when she arrived in her dazzling Elie Saab Haute Couture plunging neck gown, a bold berry lip, and a shiny retro styled mane — courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell.
“I was inspired by Lily’s Elie Saab Couture gown to create a clean and glossy modern take on an old Hollywood classic set,” Russell said of his inspiration for the glamorous look.

“I started on damp hair applying Ouai Hair Oil to the ends then I used Rene Furterer Vegetal Mousse and applied though all roots and lengths. I then selected a deep side part with my tail comb and blew out using my medium Varis Boars hair round brush.
Then used the a 1.25″ curling iron to curl the ends pinned and let cool. I then dueled the bang section and pinned into desired shape with flat clips to cool. Once cooled down, I used R+Co Continental Glossing Wax through the ends the through the hairline for high defined shine. I then finished the style with R+Co Vicious Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray for strong hold.”
