2014 Cannes Film Festival – WISH LISTGet ready for one of the most glamorous red carpet events of the year! | Photo: iStock
Welcome to PART 2 of my Cannes 2014 Wish List! As I mentioned in PART 1, there were way too many celebs I included this year, and I figured breaking it up would make it easier read without a heavy image load and endless scrolling. The first half covered some of the premieres for the first week of the 67th Cannes Film Festival while this will focus on three movies debuting in the last week, including: “Maps to the Stars”, “Lost River”, and “Clouds of Sils Maria”.

The year must’ve flown by because it was as if I blinked and the biggest fashion festival (and film, obviously) was back again! The 67th Cannes Film Festival officially begins today, and I can’t wait to see what glamorous gowns (and swanky tuxedos) make their way down the red carpet on the French Riviera–beginning with the opening ceremony premiere of “Grace of Monaco”.

As always, there are tons of stylish celebrities who will be attending Cannes this year, which means my wish list is so big that I had to break it into two parts—and I couldn’t even include everyone! You can find the first ten celebrities included below, and PART 2 is on the way later today. See Part II here.

Review: OPI ‘Spotlight on Glitter’ Collection

Product Review

Review: OPI 'Spotlight on Glitter' CollectionIn conjunction with the release of their super cool new peel-off glitter base coat ‘Glitter Off’, OPI is releasing six sparkly glitters with their new collection Spotlight On Glitter. For the hardcore polish and OPI fans, most of these seem to be re-released/re-named glitters of collection past—however, it’s a treat for those that weren’t able to grab them before, like myself.

Needless to say, I was pretty ‘jazzed’ about getting my sparkle on when OPI sent them my way for a test drive. I dare you not to get glitter obsessed after checking these out. Because I wanted to really put some ‘spotlight’ on the glitter, I applied them over base shades from the Brazil Summer 2014 Collection, which allowed for them to stand out a bit better.

In the wise words of Ke$ha: ‘…go insane. Throw some glitter, make it rain!’. | continue reading..

Review: OPI Brazil Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

Product Review

Review: OPI Brazil Spring/Summer 2014 CollectionWe’re only a few short months away from the 2014 FIFA World Cup being held in Brazil, and OPI is ready to celebrate it this summer by releasing the Spring/Summer 2014 Brazil Collection. The vibrant line is the perfect mix of bright, bold colors to earthy beach tones. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this collection, or rather get these polishes on my nails.

I think there’s the ‘perfect’ summer shade to flatter any complexion, which always ‘scores a goal’ in my polish handbook. I think OPI totally nailed it with this seasonal collection, but you can see for yourself below with my provided swatch review. | continue reading..

Review: ZOYA ‘Awaken’ Spring 2014 Collection

Product Review

Review: ZOYA 'Awaken' Spring 2014 CollectionDespite the short snow-covered days, I never realize how much I truly miss spring until I start seeing all of the pretty pastel nail polish collections begin to debut. This year ZOYA has created the “Awaken” collection, a stunning batch of glorious soft hues to celebrate the blooming season. Six new, full-coverage creams and metallic shimmer nail polish colors fill this Spring 2014 line that I’m certain you’re bound to fall in love with.

The awesome team over at Zoya headquarters sent the collection my way to try out and share with all of you–so let’s ‘hop’ to it!

Get it? Spring humor. I crack myself up. | continue reading..

Review: OPI ‘Muppets Most Wanted’ Collection

Product Review

Review: OPI 'Muppets Most Wanted' CollectionI’m excited to share the latest Limited Edition polishes from OPI with you, which are inspired by Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted!

I guess you could say I’m a bit of a aficionado when it comes to The Muppets; I grew up on the movies, the cartoons, the toys, and I may have even idolized Miss Piggy a little bit at one point or another :cough:istilldo:cough:.

What can I say? She’s the most fabulous.

I made it my mission to stock up on the entire Muppet holiday collection that OPI first did back in 2011, so it should go without saying that I’m thrilled they teamed back up to celebrate the latest Disney film starring Kemit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Animal, Fozzie Bear, and the rest of the fuzzy gang.

The collection is mostly focused on pink and nude tones–but there is a gorgeous deep purple, a fun duochrome, and a couple of pretty glitters in the mix. I’ll stop babbling so you can check them out. Enjoy!

Review: China Glaze Sea Goddess Spring 2014 Collection

Product Review

Review: China Glaze Sea Goddess Spring 2014 CollectionThe first day of spring is literally a week away, so I’m quite excited that I was able to check out three polishes from the China Glaze Spring 2014 “Sea Goddess” Collection. They were kind enough to share them with me so that I can share with all of you today!

I’ll be honest, while the rich pastel hued colors originally grabbed my attention, the fact that they were textured polishes made me a bit apprehensive as it’s been a definite ‘hit’ or ‘miss’ with other China Glaze textured polishes. However, these were much finer–kind of a mix between Zoya’s Pixie Dust and OPI Liquid Sand polishes, if you’re familiar with those. All three of them were very easy to apply and I pretty much got full coverage in just two coats. | continue reading..

2014 OSCARS - WISH LISTAs hectic as it may have been, it feels like award season simply flew by this year! We’re only a few days away from Oscar night, which means the countdown is almost over until we see some amazing dresses and major wins!

For my annual wish list, I decided to do something a little different. I typically don’t “predict” dresses, I simply include my red carpet wish but I thought I’d give a taste of both this time around. For most of the ladies (nominees and confirmed presenters), I gave an idea of what they *could* wear, along with my pick of what they *should* wear. Living up to that tagline! ^^ | continue reading..

Review: Beautifully Disney Fantasy In Flight Collection

Product Review

Review: Beautifully Disney Fantasy In Flight CollectionIn my opinion, you’re never too old to be a Disney fan–and that’s why it’s still at the top of the list of things I love the most. In fact, my entire family could definitely be labeled “Disney Fanatics”! I was thrilled when Disney collaborated for the second time with OPI last spring for their Couture de Minnie Collection, but my excitement definitely flew off the richter when the House of Mouse launched their very own Beautifully Disney beauty line shortly after with a focus on the ‘wicked’ fairytale villains.

For their second installment of the cosmetic line, Disney introduces “Fantasy in Flight”–which is centered around Peter Pan’s famous side kick Tinker Bell and the Blue Fairy from “Pinocchio”. In the collection you’ll find a 6 shade eyeshadow palette, a set of four mini nail polishes, two lip glosses, and a brush set.

It should go without saying that I bounced around like Tigger when I got a special delivery of the collection to review for all of you, along with some signature pieces from the Beautifully Disney line (mascara and two blushes). | continue reading..

Review: OPI x Gwen Stefani Collection

Product Review

Review: OPI - Gwen Stefani CollectionBefore I kick off my latest swatch review, I have to say that out of all of the new OPI collections recently released, the collaboration with Gwen Stefani is probably the one I’ve been looking forward to the most. I was big fan of No Doubt growing up, and have always had a love and appreciation for Gwen’s music and eclectic style. She’s just… so cool.

The mission of this particular collab was to “create a collection as dramatic, diverse and glamorous as its namesake,” according to Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder and Executive Vice President. “With crème and glitter hues, new satin matte texture, a mirrored chrome and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, Gwen Stefani by OPI presents the latest in pigments and finishes, while combining elements of haute couture and street fashion.”

OPI was kind enough to send the collection my way to share a look with all of you, and I couldn’t be more excited to do so! | continue reading..
