Review: OPI 'Neon Revolution' Set (Limited Edition)

Review: OPI ‘Neon Revolution’ Set (Limited Edition)

Product Review

Summer may not officially start until tomorrow, but that doesn't mean you have to wait any longer to play with ultra-bright colors that are the hottest trend this season. Today I have a look at the new OPI "Neon Revolution" mini set for you, which features four limited edition neon nail lacquers, a neon white base coat, and the OPI Top Coat. I have a fairly large polish collection, but I never realized how I severly lacked in neon colors, and that's why I was so excited to give these a test spin. I tend not to purchase mini bottles of polish because I feel like it won't last me long--so why bother? However, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much each bottle packs--I can certainly get a few manis out of this to last me straight through summertime. On with it!
Review: O.P.I 'Couture de Minnie' Collection

Review: OPI Couture de Minnie Collection

Product Review

I'm beyond excited to share the latest collection from OPI with you, and if you follow all of my crazy Twitter ramblings then you'll probably have an idea why--it's all about Minnie Mouse! That's right, I got my Disney-loving paws on the Couture de Minnie line, and before you go and say you already have the OPI Minnie polishes--slow your roll, because these bad boys are brand new! Last summer OPI released some ultra-cute colors for their Vintage Minnie Collection, but this latest line is geared towards taking your favorite lady mouse in the high couture fashion direction. Disney has been focusing heavily on the fashionable side of Miss Minnie, and I love it! These are two of my total favorites coming together for one stylish venture.
Review: WEN by Chaz Dean’s Spring Gardenia Green Tea Cleansing Conditioner

Review: WEN by Chaz Dean’s Spring Gardenia Green Tea Cleansing Conditioner

Product Review

Let's talk about WEN by Chaz Dean---Chances are you've heard of it; maybe you've even seen the infomercial during a late night of channel surfing, or perhaps you've heard your co-workers chatting about it. But, have you tried it? For those who haven't heard of it--you will now, and after you try it, you'll honestly never wash your hair the same way ever again. After years of watching television segments, and hearing such great things about WEN, I finally caved and made my first purchase about year ago. However, I've only ever used the basic kit and Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner, therefore when Guthy-Renker asked if I'd like to try their Spring Gardenia Green Tea needless to say I jumped at the chance. I mean, I've had such great results with what I've already used--why not? Before I tell you what I think, let me tell you a bit more about WEN. WEN is a 5-in-1 formula that is suppose to take the place of your shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler, and leave-in conditioner. The method is to clean your hair without lathering like shampoo, and without leaving your hair and scalp harshly stripped of its natural oils.
Review: Deborah Lippmann Summer 2013 'Mermaids' Collection

Review: Deborah Lippmann Summer 2013 Mermaids Collection

Product Review

Brace yourself for the tidal wave of shimmer that is the new Deborah Lippmann Summer 2013 collection -- The Mermaids. This mystical line is inspired by the glittering seafoam green "Mermaid's Dream" that was a best-seller and fan favorite from last year. This time around Lippmann wants you to kick up your fins and show off her four shade-- including: blue, orange, pink, and purple--variety of magical mermaid hues, "I created these shades by listening to what customers wanted – more Mermaid's Dream. I took the beautiful glittered shimmer to another level by creating a whole family of shades reminiscent of the cult classic. Discover the same gorgeous glittering shine in any of The Mermaids," Lippmann elaborated on her inspiration. As a devoted fan of "Mermaid's Dream", I was excited to try out some of her new colors and got my hands on the peachy-orange "Million Dollar Mermaid" and the oceanic "Mermaid's Eyes".
Review: Essie 'Sleek Sticks'

Review: Essie’s Sleek Sticks

Product Review

In an effort to share my love of all things hair, makeup, and nail related, I've begun to include reviews of some of the hottest new beauty lines. For the first round of reviews, I'd like to introduce you to the new Essie "Sleek Sticks" nail appliqué collection from their Nail Effects line. Essie kindly sent them over for me to try out and share my thoughts with you on how well they work. If you've never tried nail appliques--in a nutshell--they are basically stickers for your nails. Quite frankly, when I first heard Essie was doing some I was a bit apprehensive to test them out as my experience in the past with other brands had more misses than hits. However, I LOVE Essie polish ,so I figured I'd give them it a go...plus the designs really caught my eye. Essie Sleek Stick nail appliques, come in a variety of designs (12 to be exact, and listed at the bottom of this post); they are UV cured and said to last up to 10 days. In my history with other appliques: they usually don't last more than a day without at least a little lifting. I didn't have these on long enough to test out the wear time, but I've heard they are the best with staying on and you can get a good 4-5 days out of them. Let's get to it!

Gimme Gimme Gimme: Fierce Fall 2011 Footwear

Everyone has their little fashion obsessions -- a particular item of clothing or an accessory they more of than anything else in their closet. For some, it's leather jackets or a cardigan in every color. For others it's jeans, scarves, or hats. For many -- it's shoes. You can count me in with the many because I am addicted to shoes.

When dressing I normally select my shoes and base my entire outfit around them instead of the opposite. It's something I picked up from my mother - she really does know best. I love all types of styles, but my favorite time of year for add on to my footwear collection is when those leaves start falling and people start setting out their pumpkins.

Typically I buy black boots because once I find a pair that fit really well and are comfortable to wear for long periods of time, I'll end up wearing them with everything and black tends to come in handy. That's not to say I don't love colorful or printed shoes because I have an unhealthy addicted to all things animal print, and sometimes I'll wear an "all black everything" outfit that requires a to-die-for pop of color that will brighten things up and make a bold statement.
