The winter blues have kept me down for too long so I'm eager for spring to hop into full swing! Some gals like to celebrate a new season with their hair color or their lipstick--I get ready for the transition with my nail polish, which is why I was pretty excited to see some of the polishes from the new Essie Spring 2015 "Flowerista" Collection while I was out running errands recently. One of the coolest things about the "Flowerista" collection is that it marks the first line that Essie collaborated on with fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff, the first Global Color Designer for the iconic nail polish brand. Known for her eclectic aesthetic, I'm not shocked that I instantly fell for the fun variety of colors; whether your style is classic or grunge, avant-garde or super girly, there's definitely a color I think you will dig. Check out the feedback I had to share on the colors I scooped up!

When I first heard about the release, I expected every single polish to be a shade of gray because of obvious reasons, however, the OPI team made sure to include nice pop of color in there to honor the third star of the film -- The Red Room. "Fifty Shades of Grey" hit the silver screen this Valentine's Day weekend so--after you check out my review of OPI's latest and pick up a bottle (or six) for yourself, make sure you stop by your nearest theater to take in Mr. Grey in all his suited glory.

With so many eyes literally on her, Idina wanted to look her very best--so naturally, she called in her go-to mane man, Celebrity Hairstylist TED GIBSON. Ted gave us an inside look on what it was like to get Idina ready for such a major night in both sports and her career, "I am so honored to have been able to be a part of this incredible moment in her life. The look I created for is her favorite and is classic Idina – 'the gibson girl wave'!" STEP #1: "I started off with freshly shampooed and conditioned hair. Idina’s look is all about effortless texture – to help achieve this I applied 3 different products to her hair before blow drying. JESSICA CHASTAIN rocked the blue carpet when she arrived for the 2015 Critics' Choice Movie Awards, but it wasn't the heavily-embellished Antonio Berardi cutout gown the "A Most Violent Year" was wearing that stole the show--it was her ultra-cool interlocking braided hairstyle! Celebrity Hairstylist RENATO CAMPORA worked with Jessica to achieve a cool 'do unlike what you typically see from a Hollywood star; it was refreshing, fun, and definitely a look that stood out amongst the many noggins sporting those classic sculpted waves. THE INSPIRATION: "The inspiration for Jessica's hair at the Critics' Choice Awards came from the beautiful dress. Once I saw the high neckline, I knew we wanted to show that off. Working with the silhouette, I decided to pull the hair off of the face and create a beautiful loose braid in the back. The result was a modern shape that really complemented the whole look," he explained.
