The winter blues have kept me down for too long so I'm eager for spring to hop into full swing! Some gals like to celebrate a new season with their hair color or their lipstick--I get ready for the transition with my nail polish, which is why I was pretty excited to see some of the polishes from the new Essie Spring 2015 "Flowerista" Collection while I was out running errands recently. One of the coolest things about the "Flowerista" collection is that it marks the first line that Essie collaborated on with fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff, the first Global Color Designer for the iconic nail polish brand. Known for her eclectic aesthetic, I'm not shocked that I instantly fell for the fun variety of colors; whether your style is classic or grunge, avant-garde or super girly, there's definitely a color I think you will dig. Check out the feedback I had to share on the colors I scooped up!
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson), based on the racy best-selling novel by E.L. James. When I first heard about the release, I expected every single polish to be a shade of gray because of obvious reasons, however, the OPI team made sure to include nice pop of color in there to honor the third star of the film -- The Red Room. "Fifty Shades of Grey" hit the silver screen this Valentine's Day weekend so--after you check out my review of OPI's latest and pick up a bottle (or six) for yourself, make sure you stop by your nearest theater to take in Mr. Grey in all his suited glory.
All eyes were on KRISTEN STEWART as she arrived for the Chanel Spring/Summer 2015 Haute Couture fashion show, held during Paris Fashion Week in a crisp white paneled dress and trendy platform oxfords. The 24-year-old "Still Alice" actress looked pretty and refreshed sporting a beauty look made up of tousled waves, inky blue nails, and a captivating stare. Kristen's makeup artist EMMA KOTCH gave the star a smouldering eye using comics blues and shimmery pearl from Chanel's beauty line, and was kind enough to dish the details to The Fashion Court on how she achieved the look. THE SKIN & CHEEKS: Emma first prepped Kristen's skin with the new CHANEL HYDRA BEAUTY Micro Sérum Intense Replenishing Hydration before applying Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré moisturizer. For foundation, she used CHANEL VITALUMIÈRE AQUA Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Suncreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in No°10 and highlighted with the Madina Milano Chic & Shine Stick.
RILEY KEOUGH rocked the black carpet at the special opening of the Louis Vuitton: "Series 2" Exhibition in Hollywood wearing a colorful flower printed dress and baby blue boots. The 25-year-old "Mad Max: Fury Road" star may have let the dress do most of the talking, but her relaxed loose waves and soft shimmery makeup spoke volumes. Celebrity Makeup Artist BEAU NELSON, who helped Riley get ready for her night out using an array of gorgeous natural-looking hues and just a touch of shimmer, shared his tips on how he achieved the look. Get the scoop below! THE SKIN & CHEEKS: "To create perfect skin, I used Laura Mercier Smooth Flawless Fluide and Cinema Secrets Concealer. I used Charlotte Tilbury Air Brush Flawless Finish Micro‑Powder in Medium to set the look and Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder under the eyes. Cheeks and jawline were contoured using the NYX Cosmetics Contour Palette and then I used Charlotte Tilbury Swish and Pop Blush in Loveglow for a subtle bit of color."
