Met Ball Beauty: Get Emma Stone’s Textured Braid!

MET Ball Beauty: Get The Look - Emma StoneIt's not surprising that Emma Stone was instantly compared to Queen Elsa from "Frozen" considering she turned up on the Met Gala red carpet with her ginger hair in a fabulous textured side-braid, which resembled the famous hairstyle of beloved character from the Disney animated hit. Whether the fictional ice queen played a role in the inspiration for Emma's look remains to be seen, but what we do know is that L’Oréal Paris celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak wanted Emma's hair to match the fresh and young vibe of her 'effortlessly cool' Thakoon two-tone pink dress. STEP-BY-STEP 1. To give Emma a great texture to start with, Mara first applied L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray onto the roots of her hair to get a desired dramatic lift.
MET Ball Beauty: Get The Look - Kristen Stewart

MET Ball Beauty: Kristen Stewart’s Retro Fishtail, Dramatic Eyes & Not-So-Black Mani!

For her first red carpet appearance in a year, all eyes were on Kristen Stewart as she arrived for the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala for more than just the fact that she's one of the hottest young actresses around. The 24-year-old was boldly showing off a brand new vivid red hair color for her latest movie, "American Ultra", and she was dressed in a dazzling feathered creation straight from the Chanel Spring 2014 Haute Couture runway. If you could tear your eyes from every glittering feathered sway of her dress, you were immediately brought back to her electric hair that was twisted into an funky little 'do created by Kristen's mane man Adir Abergel. Kristen's eyes were given a dramatic smoky touch courtesy of her go-to makeup artist Jillian Dempsey while CHANEL Celebrity manicurist Gina Viviano topped the look off with an almost-black mani. The Fashion Court has the scoop on how to recreate a desired part of Kristen's look or, you know---from tip-2-toe! The Fashion Court - Get The Look
MET Ball Beauty: Get The Look - Maggie Q

Met Ball Beauty: Get Maggie Q’s Chic Chignon!

Maggie Q was the epitome of elegance when she emerged onto the annual Met Gala red carpet wearing a show-stopping full Zac Posen gown complete with a diamond statement necklace, matching earrings, strong smoky eyes, and a sleek-and-chic tight evening chignon. Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel helped the "Divergent" star get ready for the ball by taking inspiration from both her gown and some of the great silver screen legends. "The Zac Posen dress that Maggie Q chose had such great volume and drama below the waist and a high, sleek neckline, that I immediately starting pulling from Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly," Adir explained.

MET Ball Beauty: Get Anne Hathaway’s “Bitten” Lips & Shimmering Red Nails!

Met Ball Beauty: Get The Look - Anne HathawayAnne Hathaway was amongst the star-studded guest list at this year's glamorous Met Gala, which honored the "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" exhibit with a New York City white tie affair. The brunette beauty emerged onto the scarlet carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a belly-baring Calvin Klein Collection bustier dress to match. Anne may have been 'seeing red' with her outfit, but CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist Kate Lee opted for pink tones when it came to her bold and shiny pout. "It's an amped up version of bitten lips, paired with coppery eyes," Kate explained the inspiration behind the look. "Anne was wearing a dramatic red column dress, and I wanted to do the opposite of what people would expect. So, instead of putting a red lip with a red dress, we went for this cool pink balanced with a warm shade of eye shadow." The Fashion Court - Get The Look
Met Ball Beauty: Get The Look - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Met Ball Beauty: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Relaxed Feline Eyes!

Met Ball Beauty: Get The Look - Rosie Huntington-WhiteleyThis year's Met Gala may have called for a 'white tie' dress code, but Rosie Huntington-Whiteley had the 'call of the wild' on her mind. The 27-year-old model turned actress passed on an evening gown in favor of a ferocious leopard and leather long sleeve Balmain dress that she paired with oversize gold bamboo hoop earrings, a sleek golden mane, and a fierce cat-eye. CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist Kate Lee helped Rosie get ready for her Met Ball close-up by first taking inspiration from Rosie's dress and mood, "It's a feline look that still makes you feel relaxed, beautiful and like yourself," Kate explained. "When I asked Rosie to describe the look she wanted in one word, she simply said: 'Feline!' So we did a kick-ass cat-eye, beautiful skin and a natural lip color." The Fashion Court - Get The Look
MET Ball Beauty: Get The Look - Chloë Grace Moretz

MET Ball Beauty: Get Chloë Grace Moretz’s Soft Smoky Eyes & Pearly Rose Mani!

MET Ball Beauty: Get The Look - Chloë Grace MoretzChloë Grace Moretz donned a very playful head-to-toe Chanel look when she attended the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in New York City, which honored the "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" exhibit this year with a fancy white tie affair. The 17-year-old "Clouds of Sils Maria" actress wore a white embroidered top and matching skirt while her half-pinned long blonde locks draped over her shoulders. As for her makeup, Celebrity Makeup Artist Mai Quynh balanced a smoky eye with a pink pout, which complimented the colors of the embellished details in Chloë's outfit. "This is a soft take on a smoky eye that's feminine, with just enough intensity," Mai explained. "We wanted everything to be soft and beautiful. Chloë's dress was pale with tones of ivory, so we thought doing a smoky eye would be a fun contrast, and play off the very feminine look of the dress." The Fashion Court - Get The Look
Review: OPI 'Spotlight on Glitter' Collection

Review: OPI ‘Spotlight on Glitter’ Collection

Product Review

Review: OPI 'Spotlight on Glitter' CollectionIn conjunction with the release of their super cool new peel-off glitter base coat 'Glitter Off', OPI is releasing six sparkly glitters with their new collection Spotlight On Glitter. For the hardcore polish and OPI fans, most of these seem to be re-released/re-named glitters of collection past---however, it's a treat for those that weren’t able to grab them before, like myself. Needless to say, I was pretty 'jazzed' about getting my sparkle on when OPI sent them my way for a test drive. I dare you not to get glitter obsessed after checking these out. Because I wanted to really put some 'spotlight' on the glitter, I applied them over base shades from the Brazil Summer 2014 Collection, which allowed for them to stand out a bit better. In the wise words of Ke$ha: '...go insane. Throw some glitter, make it rain!'.

Review: OPI Brazil Spring/Summer 2014 CollectionWe're only a few short months away from the 2014 FIFA World Cup being held in Brazil, and OPI is ready to celebrate it this summer by releasing the Spring/Summer 2014 Brazil Collection. The vibrant line is the perfect mix of bright, bold colors to earthy beach tones. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this collection, or rather get these polishes on my nails. I think there's the 'perfect' summer shade to flatter any complexion, which always 'scores a goal' in my polish handbook. I think OPI totally nailed it with this seasonal collection, but you can see for yourself below with my provided swatch review.

Review: OPI 'Muppets Most Wanted' Collection

Review: OPI ‘Muppets Most Wanted’ Collection

Product Review

Review: OPI 'Muppets Most Wanted' CollectionI'm excited to share the latest Limited Edition polishes from OPI with you, which are inspired by Disney's Muppets Most Wanted! I guess you could say I'm a bit of a aficionado when it comes to The Muppets; I grew up on the movies, the cartoons, the toys, and I may have even idolized Miss Piggy a little bit at one point or another :cough:istilldo:cough:. What can I say? She's the most fabulous. I made it my mission to stock up on the entire Muppet holiday collection that OPI first did back in 2011, so it should go without saying that I'm thrilled they teamed back up to celebrate the latest Disney film starring Kemit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Animal, Fozzie Bear, and the rest of the fuzzy gang. The collection is mostly focused on pink and nude tones--but there is a gorgeous deep purple, a fun duochrome, and a couple of pretty glitters in the mix. I'll stop babbling so you can check them out. Enjoy!
Review: China Glaze Sea Goddess Spring 2014 Collection

Review: China Glaze ‘Sea Goddess’ Spring 2014 Collection

Product Review

Review: China Glaze Sea Goddess Spring 2014 CollectionThe first day of spring is literally a week away, so I'm quite excited that I was able to check out three polishes from the China Glaze Spring 2014 "Sea Goddess" Collection. They were kind enough to share them with me so that I can share with all of you today! I'll be honest, while the rich pastel hued colors originally grabbed my attention, the fact that they were textured polishes made me a bit apprehensive as it's been a definite 'hit' or 'miss' with other China Glaze textured polishes. However, these were much finer--kind of a mix between Zoya's Pixie Dust and OPI Liquid Sand polishes, if you're familiar with those. All three of them were very easy to apply and I pretty much got full coverage in just two coats.
