MY VERDICT: Hours before hitting the red carpet at the MET ball in a gorgeous Vera Wang gown, “Peeples” actress Kerry Washington promoted her new movie with an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” where she rocked a Prabal Gurung cocktail number. Kerry wore my favorite plunging v-neck dress from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection, which featured a vibrant violet satin peplum sleeveless top that’s connected to a black silk-satin and organza pencil skirt with an attached floral printed apron panel.

Kerry passed on a solid black belt in favor of a few edgy embellishments. I guess she was already getting into the punk state of mind. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: To kick off the month of April, Stana was a guest on the hit morning talk show to promote the 100th episode celebration of her ABC drama series “Castle”.  The 34-year-old opted for something a little less busy than she did earlier in the day, but didn’t hold back on the power you can give a casual ensemble.  Stana talked with Michael Strahan and guest co-host Robin Roberts while she rocked sleek jet black J Brand 811 skinny jeans in Storm with a lovely long-sleeve white Marissa Webb top, which featured front slanted pockets and a plunging v-neck that gave a peek-a-boo view of a lace camisole.

With her long honey blonde tresses styled in finger twisted waves, Stana completed the look with soft makeup, a Karma El Khalil diamond “Floating Triangle” ring on her pointer finger, and the black version of the suede Jimmy Choo “Anouk” pumps that she wore for her GMA interview. Stana also wore black diamond earrings by State Room and rings from CBL by CB Luxe!

Overall, this look was very polished, but not something that’s out of reach for the everyday woman to recreate. Nicely done.

MY VERDICT: Who says you can’t add some sparkle to your morning?  Stana Katic worked shimmer into her day by adding a casual touch with a simple blazer.  The “Castle” star arrived in NYC for an appearance on “Good Morning America” to promote the 100th episode of her hit show by rocking a Pre-Fall 2013 metallic embroidered top and pants by Theyskens’ Theory.  I absolutely love how this was done; she basically did the reverse of taking a look from day-to-night, and she did it right.  | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Finishing out the U.S. leg of the press tour for her new sci-fi movie “The Host”, Saoirse made an appearance on the late night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live”. The 18-year-old actress looked fantastic in a sleek black OSMAN by Osman Yousefzada jumpsuit that features an asymmetric sleeveless bodice with leather inset panel. Saoirse has officially joined the list of stylish ladies—including Beyoncé, Kristen Stewart, Selena Gomez, and her costar Diane Kruger, who have taken an immediate liking to the British designer’s eclectic eye for detail.

WHERE & WHEN: Visiting “Good Morning America” in New York City on March 28, 2013.

MY VERDICT: After several dark looks from Diane while promoting “The Host” in the states this month, the 36-year-old actress brightened up the week when she stepped out for an appearance on “Good Morning America”.  Diane opted for the navy and white jacquard “Stryder” dress by Preen that, surprisingly, comes from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

The mixed speckle and stripe pattern is fun, but I really like the pop of color with the red banded detail at the waist. That being said, nothing can compare to the burst of citrus at the back!  | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Saoirse wore one of my favorite shades of green when she did her morning press rounds for “The Host” in New York City today.  The 18-year-old actress hit “Good Morning America” with costar Max Irons for an interview before heading over to SiriusXM Studios — and all the while wearing a school-girl-chic ensemble from Carven.  Saoirse selected a silk button-down teal blouse with a contrast light peter-pan collar and paired it with the matching tweed structured skirt.  | continue reading..

WHERE & WHEN: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on March 20, 2013.

MY VERDICT: Vanessa brightened up the “Tonight Show” when she sat down for an interview with host Jay Leno while wearing a vibrant yellow beaded “Taryn” cap sleeve fitted dress by Alice + Olivia. Is it possible to be in love with a dress? Because, if it is–I am. I love the simplistic but all-around-flattering cut of this dress, but it’s the crunchy embellished detailing that’s as stunning as the color. This was certainly a wise choice for Vanessa; the color complimented her hair color and caramel complexion while also popping off the screen. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: I can’t get over how beautiful the color of this dress is!  The 22-year-old selected a gorgeous marigold for her (hilarious) appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”.  Jen wore an Emilio Pucci sleeveless pencil sheath with a light peplum and a split in the front center of the skirt, from the Resort 2013 collection.  I pretty much loved this dress on her—from the waist up, as it’s pretty obvious the fabric below the peplum was too tight and stretched. It kind of bums me out because I otherwise love this on Jen.  There’s no doubt in my mind that she should turn to this vivid shade more often.

Jen finished her look with beautiful layered waves in her hair, an amazing pair of studded Jimmy Choo “Maya” pumps on her feet, and pretty dainty gold jewelry from Kara Ackerman. | continue reading..

MY VERDICT: Can Jessica please wear cobalt blue all the time?  The “Mama” actress looked incredible wearing a fabulous v-neck crepe cocktail dress by Antonio Berardi. The silhouette is absolutely flattering on her, but it’s the color and the sexy strappy back that makes the whole look for me.  It’s so vivid against Jessica’s fair complexion and awakens her luscious strawberry red tresses—which, by the way, were styled to perfection in glamorous full waves. She topped off her look with black suede “Irene” platform sandals by Rupert Sanderson.  I can’t wait to see what she wears to the Golden Globes later this month! | continue reading..

Sure, most of us love Kristen Stewart‘s edgy approach to red carpet fashion–but, we also seem to have a soft spot for her casual threads.
