I am totally and completely obsessing over this teal velvet combo dress by Stella McCartney that Naomi Watts wore last night.

The Australian actress celebrated the new wine range Jacob’s Creek: Cool Harvest with a launch party held at The Orangery in London where she donned this sassy knee-length dress by the British designer.

First of all, I’m still into this scuba-neckline Stella has been continually using, but the deep teal color of this frock is absolutely striking. Not only is it a genuinely beautiful color, but it looks really nice with Naomi’s fair skin and light blonde hair.

There are sheer illusion side insets and the velvet bodice is separated from the crepe pencil skirt with a fun waving design. | continue reading..

Lucy Liu was on-hand yesterday for the 2012 CBS Upfront presentation where she was promoting her new show “Elementary” with Aidan Quinn and Jonny Lee Miller.

The 43-year-old showed off her age-defying figure in a crimson red gathered mini dress from the Fall 2011 collection by Marios Schwab. The wide-open neckline features a fun pearl-embellished halter strap element.

This was one of my favorite collections by Schwab, so it’s nice to see it still getting some love. I had been disappointed that this dress hadn’t gotten any spotlight.

Lucy looked fantastic, but I lost a bit of interest in it when it came to her shoes. I like her light gold Charlotte Olympia “Dolly” platform pumps — just not with this dress.

She needed an edgy sandal to play off the vibe of the dress.

 

Cobie Smulders attended the CBS Upfronts 2012 presentation yesterday wearing a delicate white dress by Rebecca Minkoff.

After recently coming off a long and successful promotional tour for Marvel’s “The Avengers”, I’d say Cobie should be exhausted at this point. Contrary to that, she looked bright and refreshed in this flirty Spring 2012 lacy cutout mini.

One of my favorite parts of this look is that she matched her coral-red pout to her suede pumps. Subtle-yet-sassy pops of color look great with little white dresses. | continue reading..

Nicole Scherzinger rocked an interesting black gown on the blue carpet last night when she stepped out for the London premiere of her new movie “Men in Black 3″.

The former Pussycat Doll selected a black structured corset with a high-slit skirt ensemble from the Fall 2009 haute couture collection by designer Cengiz Abazoğlu.

Shockingly, I really like this on her. The intricate winding corset is so odd that it’s cool. Considering the movie is about aliens, I’d say it was pretty appropriate for the occasion as it’s ‘out of this world’. Yeah…I said it. | continue reading..

“Revenge” star Emily VanCamp celebrated the ABC Upfronts on Tuesday night when she attended the Entertainment Weekly & ABC-TV Up Front VIP Party at Dream Downtown in New York City.

The 27-year-old actress wore a two-tone sheath dress from the Spring 2012 collection by Christian Dior with a lace floral motif that covered most of the bodice.

Aside from the wrinkling on the skirt, this was a very nice look for Emily. She never really goes overboard, so I’ve yet to see her actually look bad on the red carpet. With that said, I’m still waiting for her to have a killer fashion moment. After all, with such a hit show — all eyes are on her.

Emily completed her look with twisted tresses, J/Hadley 3 drop rose cut diamond earrings, a black onyx ring and a pair of black “Meredith” open toe pumps by Brian Atwood.

Alice Eve hit the blue carpet last night for the UK premiere of “Men in Black 3″ wearing a sexy Antonio Berardi black dress.

The 30-year-old actress arrived at Odeon Leicester Square in this scuba-neck patent and crepe pencil skirt combo dress from the Spring 2012 collection.

I love the dress — but as one of my favorite dresses from the collection, I’m beyond disappointed that Alice didn’t wear a brightly colored sandal like the runway model.

She finished off her look with red nails and a partially pinned back hairstyle, which looks really nice with her bob haircut.

Freida Pinto changed out of her opening ceremony multicolored gown in favor of a dramatic sheer black dress for the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival official dinner.

This longsleeve, crewneck gown by Versace is fully embellished with dazzling black beads and features a sexy thigh-high slit at the side. I like this look much more on Freida than her previous — but those satin pumps are so heavy.

She needed a sexy sleek sandal.

Freida finished off her look with bright pink lips and a black minaudière.

After rocking a gown with a super long train on the red carpet during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival earlier in the evening, Eva Longoria slipped into a more moveable gown for the official kick-off dinner.

Eva arrived wearing a Fall 2012 black lace gown with an illusion neckline and nude underlay by Alberta Ferretti.

I really like the gown on the runway, but the nude lining looks too bright on Eva.

While her previous gown was a great opening night moment, I think this dress is better suited to Eva figure and height.

She completed her look with a white clutch… for once, black was needed.

Kara Hayward, star of “Moonrise Kingdom”, stepped out for the films’ premiere during the opening ceremony of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival tonight at Palais des Festivals.

The brunette starlet wore head-to-toe Louis Vuitton; a yellow silk satin tea-length gown that was covered in organza.

It was fun, young and fresh, but the bodice looked a little loose on her.

She wore her long hair up with tousled wavy stray pieces; a pretty Louis Vuitton white gold and Louis Vuitton Cut diamond headband pushed her tresses off her face. | continue reading..
