After spending the summer in our movie theaters starring opposite Steve Carrell in “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World”, KEIRA KNIGHTLEY returns to cinemas this fall in the title role of “Anna Karenina”; the Joe Wright-directed film based off the famed novel by Russian writer Leo Tolstoy.

As if that role wasn’t enough, the newly-engaged English actress also scored the lead for Harper Bazaar UK ‘s September issue! Ellen Von Unwerth photographed the English beauty in a mysterious dark garden wearing a whimsical array of looks straight from the Fall/Winter 2012 runways.

For the cover, Keira gives us “the side-eye” while donned in a tweed-and-feather embellished Chanel cape and sporting a berry-stained open pout and partially gathered cascading tendrils as she clutches an oversize dark red rose. But, inside the issue Cathy Kasterine took the dark beauty further by styling Keira in some incredible pieces with a ‘feminine edge’ from Yves Saint Laurent, Balmain, Lanvin and more! | continue reading..

Cover Girl: Marion Cotillard’s ‘Dark Knight’ Style for VOGUE’s August Issue!

Cover Girl: Marion Cotillard's 'Dark Knight' Style for VOGUE's August Issue!Photographed by Peter Lindbergh for VOGUE; Fashion Editor: Tonne Goodman; Hair: Orlando Pita for Orlo Salon; Makeup: Stéphane Marais
MARION COTILLARD hits the silver-screen this summer as Miranda Tate, a board member Wayne Enterprises and love interest of Bruce Wayne (aka Batman, duh) in “The Dark Knight Rises”, the third and final film in the Christopher Nolan-directed franchise for ‘The Caped Crusader’. But before the beautiful French actress graces our cinemas, she’s taking over the newsstands as the cover gal for the August issue of American VOGUE.

Fashion editor Tonne Goodman styled the actress in a violet velvet Ralph Lauren Collection for the cover, which was lens by Peter Lindbergh. Stéphane Marais kept her make-up subtle enough to merely enhance her natural beauty while hairstylist Orlando Pita gathered her long dark locks into a wind-blown low ponytail.

In the issue, Marion is featured in a slew of dark and romantic looks from Fall/Winter 2012 Ready-to-Wear, including Alexander McQueen and Burberry Prorsum, as she opens up about working on the final Batman film while raising her infant son Marcel Canet. “She gave birth and was back on set almost immediately,” says Nolan. “She’s Superwoman.”

Let’s take a look at those clothes! | continue reading..

Last week Adriana Lima rocked a cool white mini dress while attending the the IWC Top Gun Gala event during the 22nd SIHH High Jewellery Fair in Geneva, Switzerland.

Later that night, at the IWC Schaffhausen booth, the Victoria’s Secret model changed into a cool violet stretch crepe “Brownlow” dress by Roland Mouret that contoured at the bust and hugged her body.

I wish you could see the v-back design of this!

With a full thick mane of dark curls, she finished off her look with a big watch and a pair of peep toe black pumps by Rène Caovilla with crystal-embellished platforms.

In a sea of gold and silver, “Shameless” star Emmy Rossum stood out as the ‘lady in red’ as she helped Carson Daly host his annual New Year’s Eve event in Times Square.

Emmy braved the cold weather in a strapless red cocktail dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Farah Angsana. The knee-length dress featured triangular gathered detail at the bodice and was banded at the waist before flowing out into a twirl-worthy skirt adorned with beaded embellishments. | continue reading..

2011 Style Verdicts: Hot Trend – Candy Coated Denim

2011 Style Verdicts: Hot Trend - Candy Coated DenimOne of my favorite trends of 2011, that I hope will carry on into the new year, would definitely be colorful denim! Joe’s Jeans, J Brand, Blank Denim, Ksubi, AG Adriano Goldschmied, and Rag & Bone, were only some of the casual brands that released a wide variety of Crayola-inspired jeans and shorts.

Don’t be afraid to try it! You can instantly brighten up your basics (ie: a solid black top and matching shoes), or you can add some flare by picking a color out of your printed top and selecting a pair of jeans in the same shade. I can’t get enough of it therefore I’ve included some of my favorite looks below.

HILARY DUFF in KSUBI
Before her pregnancy announcement, Hilary Duff was spotted rocking a killer pair of cuffed marigold Ksubi skinnies. She added this massive splash of color to her white tank and matching pumps! I love how she played with different colors by opting for a blush pink Balenciaga bag and a bright red lip. | continue reading..

2011 Style Verdicts: Red Carpet Moments – The Innocent

2011 Style Verdicts: Red Carpet Moments - The InnocentEvery year there are many dresses that are beautiful, tons that are talked about, and a lot that get mixed reviews. It took a lot of nail biting to narrow down the top 15 that really stood out to me over the last year, but I think I picked some pretty ladies in beautiful gowns that got the red carpet treatment they deserved.

15. Jane Fonda in Emilio Pucci
I’ll kick this list off with Jane Fonda in this long-sleeve Emilio Pucci ivory dress at the Cannes Film Festival back in May. Someone needs to direct me to the fountain of youth and fitness that Jane is drinking from because she looks more amazing every year. This dress was originally seen with cutout details, but Jane added some modesty by filling in the gaps with lace. It was a fabulous fitting on her and just an all-around great moment. | continue reading..

2011 Style Verdicts: Best Dressed Blushing Brides

2011 was a huge year of wedding bliss! It was tough to narrow it down, but I think we could all agree that Kate Middleton‘s custom designed Alexander McQueen gown by Sarah Burton was a clear winner. Millions stayed up at bizarre hours just to watch the royal nuptials between the now Duchess of Cambrige and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. | continue reading..
