“Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara paid tribute to the amazing individuals helping to change our communities everyday last night when she attended the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event.

The 39-year-old actress wore a black lace cap-sleeve ruched dress by Dolce&Gabbana. I’m really glad she wore sheer tights, they helped get this cocktail dress red-carpet-ready. As I’ve said before, I’m thrilled that tights are making such an impact on fall fashion this year — they’re helping so many looks.

Sofia added a little bit of leopard into her look with grey platform “Tribtoo” pumps by Yves Saint Laurent. You know, because leopard is totally a ‘basic’ at this point. You can pair nearly anything with it. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. | continue reading..

AnnaLynne McCord was all about glitz and volume last night when the “90210″ star attended the inspirational celebration of our everyday heroes at CNN’s annual Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event.

The 24-year-old actress was clad in a deep navy blue strapless cocktail dress by Alice + Olivia with an sequin and rhinestone embroidery on the bodice that flowed out into to layers upon layers of cascading ruffles.

When it comes to red carpet styles we often love, most of the time the dresses are completely out of our price range. If you’re looking for the perfect holiday party dress — the “Felicity” by A+O is festive, gorgeous, and much more affordable! Look at how fabulous AnnaLynne looked in it!

This pretty design is currently available on the Alice + Olivia online shop.

I loved her dramatic make-up, and her tucked in high bun reminded me of Cinderella. AnnaLynne finished off her red carpet look with color-coordinating pleated satin peep-toe slingbacks, large diamond stud earrings and matching diamond rings. She was also wearing one of my favorite nail colors of the season — dark silver!

It was all about the perfect little party dress for Emma Roberts when the 20-year-old “Scream 4″ star hit the red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium for the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute — an inspiring event that honored our everyday heroes.

Emma looked like a little doll last night in the black mousseline “Lauren” dress with lace trimming around the sweetheart bodice by designer Maria Lucia Hohan.  Considering she didn’t wear a necklace, and her hair just skims her shoulders, I wish the lace detailing had been more pronounced on her as it is on the model. | continue reading..

Shay Mitchell in Lela Rose | 2011 CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute

Shay Mitchell was pretty in pink on the red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium for the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event last night in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old star of the ABC Family hit series “Pretty Little Liars” wore a vibrant cocktail dress from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection by Lela Rose that contained shades of pink blended into an subtle abstract print. I like the pin-tuck gathering at the waist and sharp u-neckline.

She could have afforded to go a little shorter, but the demure length worked well considering this was an event where you could be a bit more conservative. | continue reading..

Miley Cyrus in Roberto Cavalli | 2011 CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute

There’s less than two weeks until Christmas, but Miley Cyrus appeared ready for spring when she walked the red carpet arm-in-arm with her boyfriend actor Liam Hemsworth (“The Hunger Games”) last night at the Shrine Auditorium for the annual CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute ceremony.

Before Miley changed into her bright blue Juan Carlos Obando dress for her performance during the show, she dazzled in a crystal belted soft yellow silk-chiffon gown by Roberto Cavalli.

Her gown was breathtaking, but I’m disappointed that so much of her chest was revealed. Her gorgeous woven wrapped bodice didn’t need to fall to the point of where you could see her stomach begin. If that had been altered a little bit, this would have been a perfect look on her. | continue reading..

Brooklyn Decker added a little shimmer to the red carpet when she arrived at the Shrine Auditorium last night to honor the everyday heroes for CNN’s annual Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event.

Brooklyn stepped out in stunning comfort wearing a gleaming v-neck short sleeve mini dress from the Resort 2012 collection by Christian Dior.

The combination of metallic gold sheen and nude silk working together in a geometric design really makes this dress stand out. It’s a frock that you can just slip on and instantly feel ready for a night out. I especially adore the fluttering details at the sleeves and tiers at the bottom of the skirt. | continue reading..

Miley Cyrus in Juan Carlos Obando | 2011 CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute

Miley Cyrus took to the stage tonight at the Shrine Auditorium to perform during the 2011 CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute, honoring everyday people changing the world.

The 19-year-old singer performed her inspirational hit song “The Climb” while donned in a vibrant blue dress from the Resort 2012 collection by Juan Carlos Obando.

Miley left the neck-tie undone and allowed the deep neckline to fold out-ward to show off her layered Loree Rodkin necklaces. I noticed that part of the split neckline was actually altered so that it didn’t travel as deep for her.

I really liked the tie detail at the  gathering of wrist of her split long-sleeves. This gorgeous silk floor-length design also allowed for her to show off her black strappy Balenciaga sandals due to the asymmetric hem. I adore the easy vibe of this gown, and Miley really pulled it off. I much prefer this look to her previous history of performing in revealing bodysuits, then again, there’s also the setting of this particular event to think about.

My favorite part of her look was the messy mostly undone side braid that her hair was styled in. It was perfectly imperfect.

Miley finished off her look with rings and earrings that were also from Loree Rodkin.
