After celebrating the release of her exclusive Harajuku Mini kids clothing line for Target earlier in the day, Gwen Stefani hit the black carpet at MOCA Grand Avenue in Los Angeles for the 2011 MOCA Gala, “An Artist’s Life Manifesto” (directed by Marina Abramovic) event.

Gwen wore a black gathered asymmetric dress from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection by Carven.

She definitely has the personal style and personality to pull this look off, although I can’t say I was a fan this time around. I actually liked the dress, but I wasn’t a fan of her shoe choice. I love a bold shoe with a black dress, I just don’t think these Giuseppe Zanotti cobalt, magenta, and yellow colorblock double platform slingbacks were the way to go.

On top of that, her trendy top knot hairstyle was really wonky.

Fortunately, her ever-present signature red lipstick works every time.

Devon Aoki was among the star-studded 2011 MOCA Gala, “An Artist’s Life Manifesto” (directed by Marina Abramovic) event on Saturday night at MOCA Grand Avenue in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old model/actress arrived on the black carpet wearing a gorgeous navy blue one shouldered floor-length dress from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection by Giorgio Armani.

This was one of my favorite looks from the collection, and I’m pleased to see that Devon made it a little bit more ‘red carpet ready’ by minimizing the cutout under the bust and removing some of the bold detail at the shoulder.

The color looked amazing against her fair skin, and she accessorized perfectly with a dark silver clutch from Jimmy Choo and pretty dangling earrings. Her earrings are a brilliant gunmetal cutout design surrounding large black onyx stones.

I really loved her slicked back hair into a red carpet bun; her pretty cat-eye lined eyes and glossy red lippe.

I would definitely say she rocked this look.

Jaime King embraced the fabric of the season in a figure hugging incredible black silk velvet gown from Oscar de la Renta‘s Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

The “Hart of Dixie” actress was donned in this draping back design on the carpet at the 2011 MOCA Gala, “An Artist’s Life Manifesto” (directed by Marina Abramovic) event last night in Los Angeles at MOCA Grand Avenue.

I originally liked the stunning fuchsia Swarovski crystal bow brooch in the center of the neckline, but I’m not disappointed that Jaime opted not to include it in her look. I love the non-fuss beauty of this dress.

Jaime accessorized with Neil Lane diamond chandelier earrings, a diamond bracelet and ring, and a Roger Vivier embroidered evening clutch.

She wore her hair up, and I’m sort of in love with the single bouncy curl going astray. Jaime finished off with a striking red lippe. Insta-glamour.

Kirsten Dunst posed with Laura Mulleavy – one half of the design sister-duo behind Rodarte - at the 2011 MOCA Gala, “An Artist’s Life Manifesto” (directed by Marina Abramovic) last night at MOCA Grand Avenue in Los Angeles.

Kristen enjoyed cocktails at the event while supporting Rodarte in a strapless layered blue floor-length dress with navy embroidery from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

I think the color was beautiful against Kirsten’s skin and I’m a huge fan of her pretty soft make-up and twisted blonde locks. The curled and pinned back bangs was so pretty and lady like –  it also allowed her to show off her large diamond stud flower earrings. | continue reading..
