Carrie Underwood arrived at the 45th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday night in Nashville, Tennessee looking gorgeous in a Reem Acra gold gown. It was stunning and it fit her fabulously…but she didn’t have it on long.

The minute she stepped off the red carpet and entered the Bridgestone Arena to prepare for her hosting duties, Carrie was already stepping into a whole other look. It was the first of ten that she would wear for the duration of the show.

For one of her first looks, Carrie wore a Georges Chakra asymmetric metallic embellished coral dress featuring a dragging chiffon train on the side. This was an interesting piece on the model featured during the Spring/Summer 2011 Haute Couture presentations, but it looked way too big on Carrie. The whole design of the dress was kind of lost on her, it appeared to be two sizes bigger than what she should be wearing.

During a segment involving…dolls, Carrie wore a layered asymmetric white embellished cocktail dress from the Fall/Winter 2009 Haute Couture collection by Cengiz Abazoğlu. It sort of looked like she was wrapped in a very expensive napkin. Oddly, I like it. On her feet were a ridiculously cool pair of white, black, and silver “Glamourous” sandals by Ryan Haber. | continue reading..

Jennifer Nettles of the band Sugarland attended the CMA Awards on Wednesday night at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee looking extra-glamorous.

Jennifer wore a breathtaking grey silk gown featuring a halterneck, draping at the hip, and beautiful crystal bead embellishments from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection by Naeem Khan.

She wore her hair up with casually swept bangs, light make-up and diamond drop earrings. Jennifer really didn’t need to do much with a gown this stunning.

Easily one of my favorites on the red carpet!

I wish she had left it on the whole night — unfortunately she changed into a jacket and pants.

It was a huge night for country music at the Bridgestone Arena last night in Nashville, Tennesse as the 45th Annual CMA Awards was in full effect.

It was a night of music and winners (and losers) — on stage and on the red carpet.

Fashion Roundup: Dazzling and Destroying at the 45th Annual CMA Awards!Miranda Lambert arrived with husband Blake Shelton (who was donned in a Zegna suit) wearing a strapless black gown that was custom made for her by Haute Hippie. The dress featured a sweetheart neckline and lots of crystal embellishments. It clustered at the bodice before scattering down the dress.

Miranda didn’t wear a necklace, but she obviously wasn’t low on glitz. She wore diamond drop earrings, rings, and a Jimmy Choo crystal embellished silver clutch by. Her hair was up and high in a glam up-‘do.

Reba McEntire was also in a custom dress…her own design! Reba collaborted with Terry Gordon on this dark green velvet gown with a crystal embellished attached sleeveless shoulder capelet. It was an interesting look…definitely something only Reba could wear. I’m not sure this would fly on Taylor Swift.

While Reba let stray pieces fly from her pretty up ‘do — her bangs were swept and on full display.

Sara Evans often claims she’ll never wear a gown since she likes to show off her legs. | continue reading..

Karen Fairchild & Kimberly Schlapman in Lorena Sarbu | 45th Annual CMA Awards

The ladies of the country music group Little Big Town were designer twins on the red carpet at the Bridgestone Arena last night in Nashville for the 2011 CMA Awards.

Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman both selected gowns by Lorena Sarbu for the big night. Kim opted for a Resort 2012 silver sequin halter gown with plunging neck; Karen wore a black sequin gown with an open neck and grey sequin prints from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

While I’m more in favor of Karen’s gown, both ladies looked great. Kimberly didn’t try to tame her big blonde curls, and Kim went for a little volume too with her chocolate brown waves. | continue reading..

Reese Witherspoon in Stella McCartney | 45th Annual CMA Awards

She skipped the red carpet, but Reese Witherspoon couldn’t miss out on the country music party last night at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee for the 45th Annual CMA Awards.

Reese presented an award wearing a strapless hot pink dress from the Resort 2012 collection by Stella McCartney. The left side is gathered into a draping ruffle showing off an orange-red color underneath.

I love this color on Reese, but I really wish she had worn different shoes to compliment it. The nude peep toe pumps by Christian Louboutin are classic, but just too boring for this.

Carrie Underwood, CMA co-host of the evening, was one of the first to arrive at the 45th Annual CMA Awards — which was held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Carrie was the picture of golden glamour in this ombré embellished metallic short sleeve gown from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Reem Acra.

I’m kind of in love with this dress. The various similar shades of beads and sequins added so much dimension, and I really like the sweetheart neckline incorporated without going strapless.

This was a great fit on Carrie, and she accessorized perfectly with a Jimmy Choo complimentary satin clutch, matching diamond earrings, a ring, and bangle from Johnathon Arndt… and a gorgeous head of hair.

While fabulous, Carrie didn’t leave it on for long. In fact, this was the first of seven looks she wore last night!

LeAnn Rimes in Badgley Mischka | 45th Annual CMA Awards

LeAnn Rimes attended the 45th Annual CMA Awards last night in Nashville without her husband Eddie Cibrian. He apparently had to stay home as his son had a school play the next day. LeAnn hit the red carpet solo in a glamorous;y sparkling silver metallic gown from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Badgley Mischka.

There’s something so interesting about this dress; I can’t help but love it. There’s been a lot of controversy over LeAnn’s body, but I think this dress suited her figure very well. The tiered ruffle detail at the neckline, waist, and all down the train in the back added just the right amount of volume to an otherwise sleek gown.

Her waves were intentionally a little messy, but I liked it. I couldn’t imagine typical red carpet waves or curls, and it would’ve been too over done had she put it up.

LeAnn allowed her eyes to pop with a little metallic shadow at the inner corners and she plumped up with pout with a deep berry shade.

She accessorized accordingly to match her dress with Shylee Rose earrings and carried a quilted Chanel clutch.

Nicole Kidman in Jean Paul Gaultier | 45th Annual CMA Awards

Nicole Kidman arrived on the red carpet last night at the Bridgestone Arena with her husband Keith Urban for the 45th Annual CMA Awards.

Nicole wore a metallic strapless embroidered column gown from the Fall/Winter 2011 Haute Couture collection by Jean Paul Gaultier.

I love the dress; but I don’t like anything else about this look. She looks really stiff, and the space between her neck and the dress looks really long and awkward the way it’s cut off by that Fred Leighton diamond choker. With a gown like this, you didn’t even need that choker. If she wanted to wear a necklace, long layers of two would have sufficed. | continue reading..

Faith Hill in Chado Ralph Rucci | 45th Annual CMA Awards

Faith Hill attended the 2011 CMA Awards last night with husband Tim McGraw; she performed her song “Come Home” during the ceremony after a five year hiatus.

She wore a black outfit for the performance, but when Faith arrived at the Bridgestone Arena — she was donned in winter white.

I love this not-so-simple look on her. Her Spring/Summer 2012 gown by Chado Ralph Rucci featured three quarter length sleeves, a crew-neck, and an illusion cutout a the front hem.

Faith kept her accessories simple as well, opting only for diamond earrings that were on full display as her blonde hair was big, full, and pulled off her face. Big hair at the Country music awards? Don’t tell me you’re surprised.

Faith’s only hint of color? Her bright red lacquered manicure.

Last night I was pretty much waiting to see what Ginnifer Goodwin would be wearing on the red carpet for the 2011 CMA Awards. I was so excited to see that she opted for one of the cutest dresses from the Resort 2012 collection by Prabal Gurung!

The “Once Upon a Time” actress, who arrived at the Bridgestone Arena with co-star Josh Dallas, selected a black and white strapless dress with a full skirt covered in flower embroidery.

I love the artistic details of this dress; from every swirling flower to each ruffle tier on the skirt. This was the perfect dress for her petite frame as well; it looked amazing against her fair skin. | continue reading..
