I can’t believe my eyes — Anna Kendrick is in McQueen. Granted it’s the diffusion line McQ, but it’s a step in the right direction and she selected such a fabulous dress from the resort 2012 collection.

Anna wore the dress when she attended the UK premiere of “50/50″ tonight held during the The BFI London Film Festival at Odeon Leicester Square.

I love the colors and the print, but especially the silhouette enhancing black leather scoop belt. Lately I haven’t been truly impressed by what Anna wears on the red carpet, but I think this may be one of my favorites. After a premiere for her new film “50/50″ earlier this month during the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, Anna Kendrick continues to promote the upcoming dramedy in New York City.

The 26-year-old actress arrived at the premiere last night held at the Ziegfeld Theater wearing a beautiful dress by Georges Hobeika. I guess you can add Anna Kendrick to the growing number of fans for Rachel Zoe‘s fabulous resort 2012 collection.

Anna attended the TIFF press conference and portrait session for her movie “50/50″ wearing this sheer button-front shirt dress with a voluminous ruffled skirt. It was a cute choice for Anna but I think her long locks was a little bit too much for it. In the same way as a bun would have done it, this looked looked more appropriate for a business lunch. Perhaps a bouncy ponytail would have added some playfulness to it.

Anna wore non-distracting, but super high nude peep toe platform pumps by Prada.

Anna Kendrick was having a bit of a “fashion marathon” during the promotional road to the 2010 Oscars, for which she was nominated for her role in “Up in the Air”. The otherwise naturally casual Anna was rocking some serious runway looks and becoming one of my favorite ladies to watch for. Lately Anna has been playing it safe on the carpet with pretty dresses, but nothing has stood out to me.

Last night I was wowed when Anna wore one of my favorite dresses from the resort 2012 collection by Oscar de la Renta. I love the aqua color and balloon skirt of the airbrush and threadwork guitariste embroidered dress.

I do have some critiques as I believe she could have benefited from some tailoring so that the dress better fit her petite frame. I think that perhaps black sandals were in order instead of pumps and I’ve never been one for handles on clutches, so I’m not on board with the Judith Leiber clutch.

While it was far from perfect, I adored this selection for the premiere of her movie “50/50″ at the Toronto International Film Festival. Hopefully Anna is heading back in the right direction — this was definitely a good start.
