Nicki Minaj’s dress was probably the only thing I found interesting about her controversial performance last night during the 2012 GRAMMY Awards.

The 29-year-old rapper sang her single “Roman Holiday” wearing a tobacco silk organza gown and cutout belt from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Oscar de la Renta.

I’d rather not see this dress with her blonde Barbie wig and that jewelry though.

Oh well.

After her high-energy GRAMMY performance, Katy Perry changed into her third look of the night when she returned to the audience in a beaded gold halterneck gown by Gucci Premiere.

Katy posed with Neil Patrick Harris and Rihanna in her dazzling design that featured heavy embellishing at the neckline.

Dare I say it? Katy had three truly winning outfits! I wish she had been able to magically smooth her hair back out before she put this dress on because the crimped tresses are putting a damper on it for me.

It was good for her performance, but I hope she stays away from the crimper for awhile.
